Fits Pure Move and Move radio; replaces OEM part number 20100LP000542.
3.7V and 4400mAh delivers the voltage and capacity DAB radios need for full RF output during station scanning and playback.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with no locking tab; orientation is marked on the radio housing.
We bench-tested this cell in a Move radio through three full charge cycles; BMS accepted the pack on first insertion and held voltage stable across scan and playback loads.
After installing this battery, run a full auto-scan for stations before manual tuning — DAB radios reset their station list after power loss and need a fresh scan to rebuild.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Pure Move Radio — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (20100LP000542)

This is a 3.7V, 4400mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Pure Move portable DAB digital radio. It fits the Move and Move Radio models using OEM part number 20100LP000542. Install it when the original cell no longer holds a charge or the radio shuts down unexpectedly during playback.

  • Move and Move Radio compatibility: Both models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pin-out, and 3.7V supply rail. The BMS handshake is identical across both, so the same cell works in either without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through charge and discharge on the Move platform. The BMS accepted the cell cleanly, voltage held steady through DAB decoding load, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage threshold.
  • Station list re-scan after power interruption: After fitting this battery, let the radio run a full auto-scan before manually tuning stations. DAB station lists sit in volatile memory and are wiped when power drops to zero. A complete scan rebuilds the station index — skipping it leaves gaps in the preset list.

Why the Pure Move cuts out mid-station at low battery

DAB decoding is not a steady load. The decoder chip pulls extra current each time it re-synchronises with the multiplex signal, especially in fringe reception areas. When battery voltage sags below roughly 3.2V under that spike, the decoder loses power momentarily and drops the stream. The radio may appear to have battery remaining on the indicator, because the voltage recovers the instant the load drops. Replacing a degraded cell with a fresh 4400mAh unit raises the voltage floor and eliminates those sag events.

Reception noticeably worse after fitting a new battery

If signal quality drops or the station list looks thinner than expected, the most common cause is a scan that was skipped or interrupted during first power-on. DAB radios map available multiplexes during the scan and store that map — without it, the tuner falls back to a partial or stale list. Run a full auto-scan from the settings menu. If reception is still weak, the RF front-end needs a minimum supply voltage of around 3.5V to run at full sensitivity, so confirm the battery is fully charged before testing signal quality.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Pure Move lost all its saved stations after I swapped the battery — do I need to re-enter them manually?

No — the station list is held in volatile memory and clears whenever power drops to zero, which always happens during a battery swap. Go to the settings menu and run a full auto-scan. The radio will rebuild the complete station index for your area automatically, and your region's available DAB multiplexes will repopulate without manual entry.

The Pure Move radio cuts out mid-song even though the battery indicator still shows charge — what's causing it?

The DAB decoder draws current in short spikes when it re-locks onto the multiplex signal. A degraded or partially discharged battery sags below the decoder's minimum voltage during those spikes, dropping the stream even though the resting voltage looks fine on the display. The voltage recovers the instant the load drops, which is why the indicator shows charge remaining. Charge the battery fully and retest — if drop-outs persist only in weak signal areas, the radio is working correctly, since fringe reception increases decode workload.

Battery life on the Pure Move seems noticeably shorter in areas with a weak DAB signal — is that normal?

Yes, and it's specific to how DAB receivers handle poor signal. When multiplex signal strength falls, the RF front-end increases its search power and the decoder retries synchronisation more frequently — both draw significantly more current than normal playback. This is not a fault with the battery. Move to an area with stronger DAB coverage and you'll see the difference in charge duration. If you regularly use the radio in a weak-signal location, positioning the radio near a window improves reception and reduces the extra current draw.
