Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Remarc 82C2 / KM Domus 82V / Nimbus 82V — 80V Li-ion Replacement Battery (82V430G)
This is an 80V lithium-ion replacement battery rated at 2000mAh (160Wh), built to fit Greenworks 82C2 platform mowers including the KM Domus 82V and Nimbus 82V. It slots into the same battery bay as the original pack and communicates with the mower's BMS over the same data line. Voltage and connector match the OEM specification exactly.
- 82C2 platform compatibility: The 82C2, KM Domus 82V, and Nimbus 82V all run the same 80V bus and use an identical battery latch and five-pin connector. One replacement covers all three without adapters or firmware changes.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through simulated blade-start cycles on an 82C2 platform and monitored BMS handshake, cell voltage balance across the pack, and cutoff behaviour under sustained motor load. All cells stayed within the BMS acceptance window throughout.
- Seasonal storage tip: Before first use of the season, bring the battery indoors overnight if temperatures are below 10°C. Cold Li-ion cells have higher internal resistance, and the blade motor's inrush current can trip the BMS on a cold pack before it ever starts cutting.
BMS cutoff on thick-grass or wet-grass blade load
The 82C2 blade motor draws a sharp inrush current every time it bites into dense or wet grass. If the pack's cells are depleted past around 30% charge, the BMS interprets that inrush spike as an overcurrent event and cuts the output to protect the cells. The mower shuts off mid-row, then restarts cleanly once you release and re-engage the blade. Keeping charge above 40% before tackling heavy sections prevents the threshold from being crossed during that startup surge.
Charger showing a fault light after the mower sat all winter
Li-ion cells self-discharge slowly during storage. After a full winter in an unheated garage, cell voltage can drop below the charger's acceptance threshold — typically around 2.5V per cell — causing the charger to flag a fault instead of starting a charge cycle. Some chargers on this platform have a recovery mode: connect the pack, wait 30 seconds, then disconnect and reconnect. If cell voltage is still above 2.0V per cell, the charger will usually accept the pack on the second connection and begin a slow recovery charge.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Greenworks mower cuts out halfway through a row then kicks back on by itself — is the battery faulty?
This is thermal protection firing, not a faulty cell. The blade motor generates heat under sustained load, and the BMS cuts output once the pack temperature crosses its protection threshold. Let the mower sit for five minutes with the battery in place — the BMS monitors temperature continuously and re-enables output once it drops back into range. If it happens every row, mow in overlapping passes to reduce blade load per pass.
The charger won't accept this pack after the mower sat in the garage all winter — what's wrong?
Cell voltage dropped below the charger's acceptance floor during storage — common after several months without a top-up charge. Connect the pack to the charger, wait 30 seconds, then disconnect and reconnect. This triggers a soft re-initialisation on most 80V Greenworks chargers and allows a slow recovery charge to begin. If the fault light persists after two attempts, check individual cell voltage with a multimeter — any cell reading below 2.0V will prevent the charger from accepting the pack.
Why does this battery feel weaker on the first cold morning of spring compared to how it ran last autumn?
Cold temperatures increase internal resistance in Li-ion cells, which reduces the current the pack can deliver to the motor. At 10°C and below, usable capacity drops noticeably — the cells are physically the same, but the chemistry slows down. Bring the pack indoors the night before and let it reach room temperature before use. Once the cells warm up through the first 10–15 minutes of normal operation, output returns to full rated performance.
