Fits Rotating model 2713 and 2718 cordless stick vacuums, replacing OEM battery pack.
14.4V lithium-ion delivers 2600mAh capacity — restores full motor power and suction on restricted filters.
Battery slides into the charging dock slot with a single locking tab; verify contact pins align.
We tested the BMS under sustained motor draw on blocked filters — cell accepted charge without fault codes.
Do not leave this battery on the dock continuously after reaching full charge; trickle charging degrades capacity faster than removing it when done.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Rotating 2713 / 2718 — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 14.4V, 2600mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Rotating 2713 and 2718 cordless vacuum cleaners. It slots into the same battery bay and runs the same motor voltage rail as the original cell. No OEM part number is published for this unit — fit is confirmed by model number only.

  • 2713 and 2718 platform fit: Both models share the same 14.4V motor rail, battery form factor, and connector pinout. A single cell covers either unit — the BMS on both vacuums communicates over the same data line.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge, discharge, and sustained suction cycles. The BMS handled thermal conditions correctly and did not trip on normal carpet load. Charge acceptance matched rated capacity.
  • Dock charging habit on the 2713 and 2718: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the dock permanently. These models trickle-charge continuously when docked, and Li-ion cells held near full charge under trickle current lose usable capacity faster than cells that are charged to full and then removed. Charge fully, then pull it off the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

On the 2713 and 2718, this usually isn't the battery — it's motor voltage sag under a restricted airflow path. When the filter is partially blocked, the motor draws above its rated current to maintain speed. The BMS reads this as an overload condition and reduces output voltage to protect the cell. Clear the filter first, then retest. If suction recovers immediately, the battery is fine.

Motor cuts out mid-clean, then restarts after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a failing battery. Sustained suction against a blockage — hair wrap around the brush roll, a clogged filter, or a tight seal around a nozzle — pulls enough current to trigger the protection circuit. The BMS cuts output, waits for the draw to drop, then resets. Remove the blockage, wait 30 seconds, and restart. If it trips again on an empty floor, measure resting voltage — a healthy cell at partial charge should read 14.0V or above.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Rotating 2713 loses suction well before the battery light comes on — is the battery actually flat?

Not necessarily. On the 2713, a partially clogged filter forces the motor to pull more current than rated, which causes the BMS to sag output voltage and drop suction — even with charge remaining in the cell. Clean or replace the filter, then run the vacuum again. If suction holds steady, the battery is not the problem.

The motor on my 2718 keeps cutting out for a few seconds and then coming back — what's happening?

That's a BMS overcurrent trip. A blockage — hair tangled in the brush roll, a sealed nozzle, or a clogged filter — creates a sustained high-current draw, and the protection circuit shuts output to guard the cell. Clear the restriction, wait 30 seconds, and restart. If it trips on a clear floor with no load, check resting voltage — a cell in good condition should sit at 14.0V or higher when partially charged.

I charged my Rotating 2713 overnight on the dock and now it seems to run for less time than it used to — did I damage it?

Continuous dock charging is a known cause of capacity fade on these vacuums. The charger trickles current into a full Li-ion cell for hours, which degrades the chemistry faster than normal charge cycles. Going forward, charge to full and remove the vacuum from the dock — don't leave it sitting plugged in. A replacement cell will restore lost capacity, but the same habit will degrade the new cell at the same rate.
