Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Rowenta Smart Force Extreme RR7126 — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (RS-RT900815)
This 14.4V, 2600mAh Li-ion battery replaces part number RS-RT900815 in the Rowenta Smart Force Extreme robotic vacuum. It fits the RR7126, RR7145, and RR7157 models along with five additional RR7-series units. Capacity figure is taken directly from product data — 37.44Wh total energy.
- RR7-series platform compatibility: These models share the same 14.4V power rail, physical battery housing, and BMS handshake protocol. The RS-RT900815 part number spans the full production run of this platform, so one cell fits all listed variants without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on an RR7126 unit. The BMS negotiated correctly with the charger on first contact, accepted charge without fault codes, and held voltage within the expected operating band across the discharge curve.
- Dock charging discipline for the RR7126: Do not leave this robot on the charging dock permanently between cleaning sessions. Continuous trickle charge from the dock degrades Li-ion cell capacity significantly faster than charging only when the battery is depleted. Charge to full, then remove the unit from the dock.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
The RR7126 reduces motor speed when pack voltage sags under load — this happens earlier than the indicator suggests when the battery has aged or when the filter is partially blocked. A restricted filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated, which pulls cell voltage down faster and triggers the vacuum's power-management threshold prematurely. Clean or replace the filter first — if suction stabilises across a full clean cycle after a filter service, the battery is not the cause. If suction still drops early on a new filter and a fresh battery, check brush roll for hair tangles adding mechanical drag.
Motor cuts out mid-cycle and then recovers after a short pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a charger fault or software error. When sustained suction restriction — blocked filter, tangled brush roll, or carpet fibres jamming the inlet — forces current above the BMS threshold, the protection circuit disconnects the cell to prevent damage. The robot powers back on after the BMS resets because the fault is transient, not permanent. Clear the restriction, then check that cell voltage reads at least 14.0V under load before ruling the battery out entirely.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Rowenta RR7126 runs for much less time than it used to — even with a new battery. What's causing that?
A partially blocked filter is the most common hidden cause. When airflow is restricted, the motor draws more current than rated to maintain suction pressure, which drains the 14.4V pack faster than normal operating conditions would. Fit a new or cleaned filter before assuming the battery is at fault. If runtime normalises after a filter service, the cell was not the problem.
The robot stopped mid-clean, sat for a minute, then started again on its own — is the battery failing?
That behaviour is a BMS overcurrent trip caused by sustained high motor load, not a failing cell. A blocked inlet, tangled brush roll, or clogged filter pushes current above the protection threshold, and the BMS disconnects the pack temporarily to prevent damage. Clear the obstruction and check that the brush roll spins freely. If the cutout stops happening after that, the battery is functioning correctly.
My replacement RS-RT900815 battery isn't charging on the dock — the charger light just stays solid or doesn't respond.
The RR7126 charger expects a specific BMS handshake before it begins the charge cycle. If the replacement cell's BMS hasn't been initialised, the charger may not recognise it on first contact. Remove the battery, refit it firmly to reseat the connector, and place the robot on the dock again. If the charger still does not respond, measure voltage at the battery terminals — a reading below 10V indicates the cell entered deep-discharge protection and will need a compatibility-rated charger to recover it to the normal 14.4V operating range.
