Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Samsung Galaxy M32 — 3.86V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (EB-BM325ABN)
This is a 5000mAh, 3.86V lithium-polymer replacement battery for the Samsung Galaxy M32, SM-M325F/DS, and SM-M325F (including the 4G 2021 edition). It carries OEM part number EB-BM325ABN and matches the original cell's dimensions at 81.30 × 65.20 × 4.60mm. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds charge or causes unexpected shutdowns under load.
- Galaxy M32 SM-M325F compatibility: The SM-M325F and SM-M325F/DS share the same battery bay geometry, BMS connector pinout, and 3.86V nominal rail — so one cell covers both variants without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge-discharge cycles on an SM-M325F unit. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, the charge IC negotiated the standard Samsung charge profile, and the coulomb counter began tracking state-of-charge normally after the first full cycle.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard current. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes load into an uncalibrated state-of-charge window.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Galaxy M32 after a cell swap
A new cell with a discharge curve the fuel gauge IC has never seen will cause the OS to misread remaining capacity. When the modem fires up for a call or the AMOLED panel hits peak brightness, the actual cell voltage drops below the system cutoff threshold — even though the percentage on screen still shows 20–30%. The phone shuts down because voltage, not percentage, triggers the hardware cutoff. One full discharge to auto-shutdown followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% resets the coulomb counter and clears the mismatch.
USB fast charge not negotiating on the first cycle after replacement
Samsung's Adaptive Fast Charging protocol requires the charge IC to handshake with the BMS before stepping up current. On a fresh replacement cell, the BMS may flag an uncalibrated state-of-charge and hold the charge IC at standard 5V/1A until it completes one baseline cycle. This is not a fault — it is a protection state. Charge the phone once at standard speed with the screen off, let it reach 100%, then reconnect with the original Samsung charger to trigger the full AFC negotiation at the correct 9V/1.67A rate.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Galaxy M32 keeps shutting off around 25% after I put in the new battery — is the cell faulty?
The cell is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC in the M32 was calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, so it misreads the new cell's voltage drop under load — the modem or screen pulls the cell below the hardware cutoff voltage while the screen still shows 25%. Run one full uninterrupted discharge to auto-shutdown, then charge straight to 100% without interruption. After that single cycle the coulomb counter remaps to the new cell and the shutdowns stop.
The phone doesn't recognise fast charging after I replaced the battery — it's only trickle charging now.
Samsung's Adaptive Fast Charging handshake requires the BMS to confirm a calibrated state-of-charge before the charge IC steps up to 9V. A brand-new cell starts in an uncalibrated state, so the BMS holds charging at standard 5V/1A as a precaution. Complete one full standard-speed charge to 100% with the screen off, then disconnect and reconnect using the original Samsung AFC charger — the handshake should negotiate correctly and step up to the full 9V/1.67A fast-charge rate.
The phone feels warm near the battery while charging after the replacement — is that normal?
A new lithium-polymer cell has slightly higher internal impedance than a well-cycled cell, so the charge IC dissipates a bit more energy as heat during the first few charge cycles. This is normal and reduces after 3–5 cycles as the cell's impedance settles. If the phone becomes hot to the touch rather than warm, or if the heat continues past the first five cycles, check that the battery connector is fully seated — a partially connected cell forces the charge IC to work harder and raises heat output. A correctly seated connector clicks flat and shows no gap at the ribbon edge.
