Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung NP-N310 Series — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (AA-PB0TC4B)
This 7.4V Li-ion cell replaces the original battery in the Samsung NP-N310 netbook and its regional variants, including the KA03, KA04, and KA05. It carries 6600mAh (48.84Wh) of capacity and fits the full NP-N310 lineup that shares the AA-PB0TC4B connector and BMS handshake. Install it into any NP-N310 unit and the system recognises it through the standard Samsung battery communication protocol.
- NP-N310 variant coverage: The N310 range spans multiple regional SKUs — KA03 through KA05 and beyond — but every unit runs the same 7.4V two-cell rail with the same 10-pin connector and BMS communication line. One cell fits the entire family because the hardware spec never changed across regional releases.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell on an NP-N310 unit and confirmed the BIOS battery handshake completed without error codes. The BMS held charge accurately across three full cycles, and the system fuel gauge tracked state-of-charge without drift during discharge.
- Post-install calibration on the N310: After fitting this cell, run the laptop down until it hibernates at low battery, then charge uninterrupted to 100% before unplugging. This forces the N310's fuel gauge IC to resync against the new cell's actual capacity and clears the false "battery health poor" flag that appears in the BIOS after any cell swap.
Why the NP-N310 BIOS flags poor battery health after a cell swap
The N310 stores battery health data in the EEPROM of the original cell, not in the laptop itself. When a new cell goes in, the BIOS reads no prior cycle history and interprets that as a degraded or unknown battery. The health warning is a data-gap problem, not a fault with the replacement cell. Running one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by a full uninterrupted charge writes fresh data to the fuel gauge IC and clears the flag.
NP-N310 shutting down at 20–30% charge shown on screen
This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell's discharge curve. The gauge predicts remaining capacity based on the old cell's profile, so it misjudges the voltage cliff and triggers a shutdown well before the actual cutoff point. It is not a fault in the replacement cell — it corrects itself after two to three full discharge and recharge cycles. If shutdown continues past three cycles, check that the BIOS battery learn cycle completed fully by confirming the unit reached 100% without interruption.

Frequently Asked Questions
My NP-N310 shows 0% or "unknown" battery in Windows right after fitting the new cell — is the cell dead?
The fuel gauge IC on the N310 holds capacity data from the old cell in its EEPROM. A fresh cell with no cycle history reads as unknown or zero until the IC recalibrates. Run the laptop down until it hibernates, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. The gauge syncs to the new cell on that first complete cycle and the reading normalises.
The Wh rating shown in Samsung Battery Manager doesn't match the 48.84Wh on the product listing — which is correct?
Samsung Battery Manager reads the Wh figure stored in the cell's EEPROM at manufacture, which can differ slightly from the actual measured capacity of the replacement chemistry. The 48.84Wh on the product listing reflects the physical cell capacity we measured on the bench. The discrepancy is an EEPROM reporting difference, not a capacity shortfall — cycle the battery fully once and the system-reported figure will settle closer to the rated value.
New cell charges fine but the N310 won't go above 80% — is the battery faulty?
This is almost always a BIOS-controlled charge limit, not a cell fault. Samsung's firmware on some N310 units ships with a battery lifespan mode enabled that caps charge at 80% to reduce cell stress. Check Samsung Settings or the BIOS power management screen for a "Battery Life Extender" or "Charge Limit" toggle and disable it. Once turned off, the next charge cycle will run to 100%.
