Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung NX10 / NX5 / NX11 / NX100 — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BP-1310)
This is a 7.4V, 850mAh Li-ion replacement cell for the Samsung BP-1310 battery pack. It fits the NX10, NX5, NX11, and NX100 mirrorless camera bodies. Voltage and capacity match OEM spec exactly — no modification needed to fit the battery compartment.
- NX-series compatibility: The NX10, NX5, NX11, and NX100 all share the same battery bay geometry, 7.4V voltage rail, and BP-1310 connector format. The BMS communication protocol is identical across these bodies, so one cell covers the full platform without any electrical compromise.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on an NX10 body. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, charge termination triggered correctly at full voltage, and the indicator display tracked through normal depletion stages.
- First-use charge cycle on the NX10: Insert this cell and run a full charge from within the camera body or OEM charger before shooting. The NX10 BMS maps battery-remaining percentage against a discharge curve — one complete charge cycle anchors that mapping and stops the indicator from jumping erratically early in the cell's life.
Camera showing dead battery indicator on a partially charged replacement cell
The NX10 reads battery level by comparing real-time cell voltage against a stored discharge curve from a previous charge cycle. A brand-new cell with no cycle history gives the BMS nothing to reference, so it defaults to showing low or empty even when charge is present. This is not a fault with the cell — it is a calibration gap. Run one full charge-to-discharge cycle through the camera body and the indicator will track accurately from that point forward.
Battery percentage jumping erratically mid-shoot
The NX10's fuel gauge samples voltage at brief intervals and maps those readings to a percentage table tuned for aged OEM cells. A new cell has a flatter discharge curve — voltage stays higher for longer, then drops quickly near the end. That mismatch causes the percentage to hold steady, then suddenly skip several steps down. This is a software-to-hardware curve mismatch, not a defective cell. After two to three full charge cycles, the BMS recalibrates and the display stabilises. If jumping persists beyond three cycles, check that the cell rests at or above 7.2V after a full charge.

Frequently Asked Questions
The NX10 shows "No Battery" when I insert the new BP-1310 — the camera won't even turn on
The NX10 runs a BMS authentication handshake on every power-on. A new third-party cell with no charge history can fail that check and lock the body out entirely. Insert the cell into the OEM charger first and run a full charge cycle before putting it in the camera body. After one complete charge, the cell presents the correct voltage signature and the camera accepts it — power the body on again after that charge finishes.
Shot count is way lower than I expected — the battery drains faster than the original did
Shot count specs are based on CIPA testing with flash disabled, single-shot AF, and the LCD off between frames. Continuous autofocus, live view, burst shooting, and frequent flash use all pull significantly more current than that baseline. A new replacement cell also has not yet reached its peak capacity — that comes after two to three full charge cycles. Track shot count after cycle three; if it is still noticeably short, measure resting voltage after a full charge and confirm it reads 8.3V–8.4V.
The NX10 feels warm under the grip during extended video recording — is the battery causing this?
During video, the NX10 runs the sensor, image processor, image stabilisation, and autofocus simultaneously. That combined draw is significantly higher than stills shooting, and the current passing through a compact Li-ion cell of this size generates heat as a byproduct — it is physics, not a fault. The camera body should feel warm to the touch but not hot. If the body becomes too hot to hold comfortably, stop recording and let the cell rest until the grip cools before resuming; sustained heat above operating range shortens cell cycle life faster than normal use.
