Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Seals TS3 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (TS-02)

This is a 3.7V, 1550mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Seals TS3 smartphone, also sold as the T-S3, WP-TS3, and IP68 Water Proof variant. It replaces OEM part numbers TS-02 and TS-01. Physically, it measures 60.30 × 44.00 × 6.13mm — confirm those dimensions against your existing cell before fitting.

  • TS3 and WP-TS3 compatibility: All variants in this lineup share the same 3.7V power rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake. The IP68-rated WP-TS3 uses the same cell cavity and charge circuit as the standard TS3, so one cell covers the range.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the TS3 platform. The BMS accepted charge negotiation without error flags, held voltage steady under screen and modem load, and cut off cleanly at the low-voltage threshold without false shutdowns.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: After fitting this cell, disable fast charging and run one full discharge down to automatic shutoff, then charge to 100% uninterrupted. The TS3's fuel gauge IC calibrates its coulomb counter against the actual discharge curve of the new cell — skipping this step causes the OS to report inaccurate percentages for the first several cycles.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity fault. Under high-draw loads — active LTE, screen at full brightness, GPS — the cell voltage drops sharply before the fuel gauge expects it to. The TS3's protection circuit reads that voltage sag as critically low and cuts power to protect the cell. Running one full discharge-to-shutoff cycle lets the fuel gauge IC remap the actual voltage curve of the new cell, after which the OS tracks remaining charge accurately and shutdowns stop occurring at falsely high percentages.

Device not powering on after the battery sat in storage

Li-ion cells that discharge below roughly 2.5V per cell trip the BMS into lockout mode — the battery will not accept a standard charge and the phone appears completely dead. Connect the phone to a low-current USB source (a standard 5V/500mA wall adapter, not a fast charger) and leave it for 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on. This trickle current is usually enough to bring the cell above the BMS re-enable threshold. If the screen shows a charging indicator within that window, the cell has recovered; charge fully before use.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Seals TS3 shows 25% battery and then just shuts off — is the replacement cell faulty?

Not necessarily a faulty cell. When the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, it misjudges how quickly voltage drops under load on the new cell. The phone's protection circuit sees an unexpected voltage sag and cuts power before the percentage hits zero. Run one full, uninterrupted discharge down to automatic shutoff, then charge to 100% — the coulomb counter recalibrates against the new cell and the early shutdowns stop.

Fast charging stopped working after I put in the replacement battery — the phone just trickle charges now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the TS3's charge IC sometimes falls back to standard 5V charging because the new BMS hasn't completed a full handshake with the device's USB-PD negotiation logic. This is not a hardware fault. Complete one full standard charge to 100%, then reboot the phone and reconnect the charger — the fast charge protocol re-establishes on the second cycle in most cases. If it still doesn't engage, check that the cable is USB-PD rated, not a legacy charging cable.

The battery percentage on my Seals TS3 keeps jumping around erratically — 60% one minute, 45% the next.

Erratic percentage readings after a cell replacement point to the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against the new cell's impedance and discharge curve. The old calibration data stored in the IC doesn't match the characteristics of the fresh cell, so reported state-of-charge becomes unstable. Run two complete discharge-to-shutoff and full-charge cycles without interruption — each cycle gives the IC more accurate data to work from. After the second full cycle, readings stabilise to within a few percent.
