Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Simvalley Easy 5 / Easy 5 Plus — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (PX-3371-912)
This is a 3.7V, 900mAh Li-ion cell for the Simvalley Easy 5 and Easy 5 Plus compact mobile phones. It replaces OEM parts PX-3371-912 and PX-3446-675. Dimensions are 53.00 × 34.00 × 4.30mm — verify against your existing cell before installing.
- Easy 5 and Easy 5 Plus compatibility: Both models share the same battery bay dimensions and 3.7V supply rail. The connector pinout and BMS handshake are identical across the Easy 5 and Easy 5 Plus variants, so one cell covers both.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Easy 5 platform. The onboard BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, and charge termination triggered correctly at full capacity.
- First-cycle fuel gauge recalibration: After installation, run one complete discharge to low battery warning, then charge to 100% without interruption. The fuel gauge IC on the Easy 5 calibrates its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve during this first cycle — skipping it causes percentage jumps for several days.
Why the Easy 5 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The Easy 5 uses a fuel gauge IC that builds its capacity model from accumulated charge and discharge data. When you install a new cell, that model still references the old cell's degraded curve. The IC reads the new cell's higher open-circuit voltage against outdated reference points and reports inflated or inconsistent percentages. One full uninterrupted discharge-charge cycle resets the learned curve to match the replacement cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–25% on the replacement cell
This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet recalibrated and the cell hits a voltage cliff under load — typically during a call or screen-on burst — before the reported percentage reaches zero. The BMS trips the output at approximately 3.0V per cell to prevent over-discharge damage. The fix is the same first-cycle calibration run: discharge fully until the phone shuts itself down, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After that cycle, the IC maps the real voltage-to-capacity curve and cutoff aligns with the displayed percentage.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Easy 5 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is it dead?
Most likely the cell dropped below the BMS lockout threshold, around 2.5V, during storage. The protection circuit has cut the output entirely to prevent cell damage. Plug into a charger and leave it for 15–20 minutes without pressing the power button — the charge IC needs to trickle current into the cell before the BMS re-enables the output. If the battery icon appears after that period, the cell has recovered; continue charging to 100% before first use.
The battery percentage on my Easy 5 jumps around erratically — it was at 60%, then suddenly 35%, then back to 50%.
The fuel gauge IC is still running on the calibration data from the old, degraded cell. It has no accurate discharge curve for the new cell yet, so voltage readings under varying loads translate to inconsistent percentage values. Run one complete cycle — discharge until the phone shuts down on its own, then charge to 100% without unplugging early. After that single cycle, the coulomb counter resets its reference and percentage reporting stabilises.
The Easy 5 gets noticeably warm near the battery during the first few charges after fitting the replacement — should I stop charging?
A new Li-ion cell has higher internal impedance than a cell that has been through several cycles. The charge IC pushes current into that higher resistance during early cycles, which generates more heat than you'd see on a broken-in cell. Mild warmth in the first two or three charges is normal and reduces as impedance drops with use. If the phone becomes hot to the touch or charging stops and restarts repeatedly, remove the battery and check that the cell is seated flat with no contact bending — a poor contact forces the charge IC to retry at higher current.
