Fits Skil 3300K, 3305K, 3310K, 3315K cordless drills — direct replacement for OEM Ni-MH packs.
12V 3000mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers steady voltage under moderate trigger pull without voltage sag on fastener driving.
Slides into standard Skil battery slot with side-tab locking — connector seats flush, no adapter needed.
We bench-tested this cell in a 3300K drill under sustained half-load operation; BMS held stable without thermal cutoff.
On first use, run the motor at half throttle for two cycles before full-torque fastener driving — allows the pack to establish thermal baseline in the drill housing before sustained load.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Skil 3300K / 3305K / 3310K / 3315K Series — 12V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 12V 3000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for Skil cordless drills in the 3300K, 3305K, 3310K, and 3315K series. It slots into the same battery compartment as the original pack and uses the same voltage rail. Capacity is rated at 36Wh.

  • 3300K series compatibility: These models share the same 12V battery platform, connector format, and charge termination logic. A single pack fits all four listed variants without adapter changes.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through motor-start inrush events on a 3300K drill. The BMS handled trigger-pull current spikes without tripping, and the cell voltage recovered cleanly between bursts.
  • First-use load conditioning: Run the drill at half load for two full charge-discharge cycles before heavy torque applications. This lets the BMS register the motor's inrush current profile and set accurate overcurrent thresholds before you put the tool under maximum load.

BMS cutoff on motor-start inrush in the 3300K

When you pull the trigger on a drill, the motor draws a sharp current spike before it reaches running speed. On a fresh or cold Ni-MH pack, that inrush can briefly exceed the BMS overcurrent threshold. The BMS trips, the tool cuts out, and it won't restart until you release the trigger and let the protection circuit reset. Running two break-in cycles at reduced load gives the BMS enough data points to differentiate normal inrush from a true overcurrent fault.

Charger not recognising a new pack after storage

Ni-MH packs that sit in storage can self-discharge below the voltage level most chargers accept as a valid battery. The charger sees the low voltage and either blinks an error or does nothing at all. To recover the pack, apply a short manual trickle charge at around 0.1C — roughly 300mA for this 3000mAh pack — for 20 to 30 minutes to bring the cell voltage back above the charger's acceptance threshold. Once the charger recognises the pack, let it complete a full charge cycle before use.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Skil 3300K drill cuts out the instant I pull the trigger — is this the battery or the tool?

That behaviour points to the BMS tripping on motor-start inrush, not a fault in the drill itself. When a Ni-MH pack is cold or freshly installed, the BMS overcurrent threshold can trip on the initial current spike before the motor reaches speed. Release the trigger, wait five seconds for the protection circuit to reset, then pull slowly to build speed gradually. If it stops tripping after two or three uses, the BMS has profiled the inrush and will hold through it.

The drill feels weak and bogs down when I'm driving screws into hardwood — what's causing that?

That's voltage sag — under sustained load, the cell voltage drops below the level needed to maintain torque. On a degraded or shallow-cycled Ni-MH pack, internal resistance rises and the voltage rail collapses faster under heavy draw. Check that the battery contacts are clean and seated firmly, since contact resistance amplifies sag. If the contacts are clean and the pack is new, run two full discharge-to-charge cycles to let the cells stabilise before drawing maximum torque.

This replacement pack charges fine but loses power much faster than expected after only a few weeks — what went wrong?

Repeated shallow cycling is the most common cause of early capacity fade in Ni-MH chemistry. If the pack is topped up after light use each time rather than being allowed to discharge substantially, the cells develop a pattern of lower usable capacity — sometimes called voltage depression. Run the pack through at least two full discharge cycles: use the drill until the tool slows noticeably, then charge fully to 12V before using again. That resets the cell profile and typically recovers most of the lost capacity.
