Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Sony VAIO FIT 14E / FIT 15E — 14.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (VGP-BPS35)
This is a 14.8V, 2200mAh (32.56Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the Sony VAIO FIT 14E and FIT 15E series laptops. It replaces OEM part numbers VGP-BPS35 and VGP-BPS35A. Fits a broad range of SVF-prefix VAIO models including the SVF14215SC and SVF1421E2E.
- FIT 14E and FIT 15E platform fit: Both the 14-inch and 15-inch FIT series share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — that is why one cell covers both screen sizes without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a VAIO FIT platform. The BMS communicated correctly with the BIOS, charge acceptance was normal, and no protection cutoff trips occurred under mixed CPU and display load.
- First-cycle reset after install: After fitting this battery, run the laptop down to hibernate-level cutoff, then charge it uninterrupted to 100%. This forces the BIOS to run its battery learn cycle against the new cell and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap on VAIO hardware.
Why the VAIO FIT BIOS flags a new battery as poor health immediately after swap
The VAIO firmware stores charge history and wear data in EEPROM on the battery itself. When a new cell arrives, that EEPROM is blank or carries factory default values the BIOS does not recognise as a healthy profile. The system reads this as degraded rather than new. Running one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% writes a fresh learn-cycle baseline. After that cycle, the health indicator updates correctly.
Laptop shuts down at 20–30% charge shown on the VAIO FIT
This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell's actual voltage curve. The gauge reports 20–30% remaining, but the cell hits its low-voltage cutoff under full CPU and display load before the estimate catches up. It is a calibration lag, not a faulty battery. Complete two full discharge-to-hibernate and full-recharge cycles — the fuel gauge re-maps the curve and the shutdowns stop. After calibration, verify the system reads above 14.4V at full charge in BIOS hardware monitor.

Frequently Asked Questions
VAIO FIT 14E BIOS shows "replace battery" straight after fitting a brand new cell — is the battery faulty?
It is not faulty. The VAIO BIOS reads wear history stored in the battery's EEPROM, and a new cell arrives with blank or default data the firmware interprets as a failed unit. Run one full discharge to hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. That single learn cycle writes a valid baseline and clears the warning.
Windows battery report is showing the wrong Wh rating for the VGP-BPS35 replacement — it says something different from what the battery is rated at.
The Wh figure Windows reports is pulled from the EEPROM on the cell, which holds the manufacturer's rated design capacity. The actual usable energy at the chemistry level can differ slightly from that stored value, so the two numbers do not always match exactly. This is a data reporting difference, not a sign the battery is underperforming. Check the full charge capacity in Windows Battery Report after two calibration cycles — if it tracks within 10% of 32.56Wh, the cell is operating correctly.
New VGP-BPS35 battery stopped charging at 80% on the VAIO FIT 15E and will not go higher.
The VAIO BIOS includes a charge limit setting that caps charging at 80% to reduce cell wear — this is firmware behaviour, not a battery fault. Open VAIO Control Center, navigate to the Power Management or Battery Care section, and check whether the charge mode is set to "80% charge" or "long life" mode. Switch it to "full charge" mode and the cell will charge to 100%.
