This is a 4.8V, 750mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the SportDog Houndhunter SR200-I and related collar models. It restores power to collars used for hunting dog training — covering stimulation, beep, and vibration functions. Fits the SR200-I, Sporthunter 1200 SR200-I, Sporthunter 1800 SR200-IM, and Uplandhunter SR-200IB.

This is a cell recovery issue, not a charger fault. Run two full charge cycles back-to-back and check whether the collar responds to the remote after each one.

Collar battery draining noticeably faster in open or rural terrain

The SR200-I increases transmission power when the receiver collar is at range limit or in heavy cover — the collar and remote handset work harder to maintain signal, which pulls more current from the pack. Ni-MH chemistry also loses available capacity in cold conditions, compressing the usable discharge range further. If drain is faster than expected, check ambient temperature and working distance.
