Fits T-Mobile Revvl OT-5049W; replaces OEM battery CS-OTP504XL.
3.85V, 3000mAh lithium-polymer cell restores full daily usage capacity on this Android phone.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with no locking tab; orientation marked inside compartment.
We bench-tested this cell against OEM discharge curves; BMS accepted fast-charge protocol on second full cycle.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

T-Mobile Revvl / OT-5049W — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery

This is a 3.85V, 3000mAh (11.55Wh) lithium-polymer cell for the T-Mobile Revvl (OT-5049W). It replaces the original internal battery when the phone no longer holds a usable charge through a normal day. The cell matches the original's voltage, physical footprint (76.90 × 62.26 × 3.40mm), and connector orientation.

  • Revvl / OT-5049W fitment: Both model designations refer to the same hardware platform. The battery connector, NTC thermistor line, and cell dimensions are identical across the Revvl and OT-5049W variants — one cell fits both.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the OT-5049W platform. The charge IC accepted the new cell without error flags, and the BMS handed off cleanly at 4.35V full charge with no mid-cycle cutoff events.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated state.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

A new cell has a discharge curve the phone's coulomb counter has never seen. When the Revvl's modem transmits or the screen peaks in brightness, current draw spikes sharply. If the fuel gauge IC still holds calibration data from the old degraded cell, it misreads available capacity and the phone cuts power before the cell is actually empty. One full slow-charge cycle forces the fuel gauge to relearn the new cell's voltage-versus-capacity curve. After that cycle, shutdowns below 20% stop.

Phone won't power on after the battery sat in storage

Lithium-polymer cells that self-discharge below approximately 2.5V trigger a BMS lockout — the protection circuit opens and the phone shows no response to the power button or a charger. Connect the phone to a low-output charger (a 5W USB-A adapter, not a fast charger) and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing anything. The BMS needs a trickle current to recover cell voltage above the lockout threshold before it will re-engage. Once the charge indicator appears on screen, normal charging can resume.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Revvl shows 25% battery left and then just switches off — is the new cell faulty?

The cell itself is almost certainly fine. The phone's fuel gauge IC was calibrated to the old, degraded cell's discharge curve, so it misreads where the new cell's voltage actually drops off under load. When the modem or screen draws a current spike, the voltage sags past the IC's cutoff threshold even though capacity remains. Run one full discharge-to-charge cycle at standard (non-fast) charging speed — after that, the coulomb counter resets to the new cell and the premature shutdowns stop.

Fast charging stopped working after I swapped the battery — the phone just slow-charges now.

This happens on the first cycle after a cell replacement. The charge IC on the Revvl runs a handshake with the battery's BMS before it authorises elevated current. On an uncalibrated new cell, the IC defaults to standard charge rate as a precaution. Complete one full charge cycle at the slow rate, then plug into your fast charger again — the IC re-runs the handshake and fast charge re-enables. If it doesn't after two cycles, check that the battery connector is fully seated, as a partial connection breaks the BMS communication line.

The battery percentage keeps jumping around — it reads 60%, then 45%, then back to 55% within minutes.

Erratic percentage readings are a fuel gauge IC recalibration symptom, not a defective cell. The IC uses a stored discharge model to estimate state-of-charge; when the model doesn't match the new cell's actual curve, reported percentage swings wildly under varying loads. Drain the phone until it shuts itself off, then charge it uninterrupted to 100% without unplugging early — this gives the coulomb counter a full reference cycle to anchor its capacity estimate. After one complete cycle the readings stabilise.
