Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Taurus Ulimited 25.6 / 25s — 25.2V HPC Replacement Battery (088132000)
This 25.2V, 1300F HPC battery replaces part number 088132000 (also listed as TA-088132) in the Taurus Ulimited 25.6 and Ulimited 25s cordless stick vacuums. It slots into the same battery bay and connects to the same charge management circuit as the factory cell. Capacity is 32.76Wh.
- Ulimited 25.6 and 25s compatibility: Both models run the same 25.2V rail, share an identical battery bay form factor, and use the same BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers both platforms without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through sustained full-power and pulse-load draw patterns on the Ulimited platform. The BMS responded correctly to simulated blockage events, tripping and recovering without requiring a manual reset.
- Dock charging discipline for the Ulimited platform: Remove the battery from the charging dock as soon as it reaches full charge. Taurus stick vacuums left permanently docked trickle-charge the cell continuously, accelerating capacity fade well before the cell's rated cycle life.
Cordless vacuum losing suction before battery indicator reaches low
On the Ulimited 25.6, suction can drop noticeably while the battery indicator still shows two bars or more. This happens because a partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw current above its rated load, causing voltage to sag at the cell terminals before the BMS flags a low-battery condition. The indicator reads state-of-charge, not motor voltage headroom — those two numbers diverge under restricted airflow. Clean or replace the filter first; if suction recovers, the battery is not the fault.
Motor cuts out mid-clean then restarts on its own
A self-recovering cutout on the Ulimited platform is almost always a BMS overcurrent trip, not a faulty cell. When the filter is partially blocked, the motor sustains a high-draw stall-adjacent state, and the BMS cuts power to protect the cell. Releasing the trigger and waiting a few seconds lets the BMS reset and allows the motor to restart. If the cutout repeats within seconds of restart, check filter restriction and confirm the floor nozzle inlet is not partially obstructed — resolving the blockage drops motor current back within the BMS trip threshold.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Taurus Ulimited 25.6 has a new battery installed but the charger light just blinks and never goes solid — what's wrong?
A blinking charger light with no progression to solid usually means the charger is not getting an expected handshake signal from the battery BMS. Verify the battery is seated fully — the Ulimited bay needs a firm click to make all contact pins. If seating is confirmed, the charger may need to see the cell pulled above its low-voltage recovery threshold before initiating a full charge cycle; try a brief power-on cycle on the vacuum to draw the BMS out of deep-discharge protection mode, then reconnect to the charger.
Suction on my Taurus Ulimited 25s is noticeably weaker than it was a few months ago even on a full charge — is the battery gone?
Weaker suction on a full charge is more often a filter issue than a dead cell. A partially clogged filter makes the motor work harder, drawing excess current and causing the 25.2V rail to sag under load — the result feels like weak suction but the battery may still hold close to its rated 32.76Wh. Remove and clean the filter, then test suction again. If suction recovers, the cell is fine; if suction remains weak after a clean filter, measure resting voltage at the battery terminals — a healthy cell should read between 25.0V and 25.2V at full charge.
I left my Taurus Ulimited on the charging dock for several weeks while I was away — now it only runs for a short time before cutting out. Did I damage it?
Continuous dock charging is one of the fastest ways to degrade the capacity of this cell type. The Ulimited charger does not cut power completely when the battery is full — it holds a trickle charge that stresses the HPC chemistry over days and weeks, reducing how much charge the cell can hold. The capacity loss from prolonged dock charging is largely permanent. Going forward, charge the battery to full, remove it from the dock, and only reconnect it when it is depleted.
