Fits Vingcard 12 and 1200 door locks replacing HTL-26, EBDL-26, and DL-26 batteries.
9V alkaline chemistry delivers 2700mAh capacity for extended intervals between replacements in hotel and commercial access systems.
Battery slides into the Vingcard battery compartment with standard 9V snap connector; polarity marked on the lock housing.
We bench tested this cell in a Vingcard 12 mechanism — the electronic latch cycled cleanly on insertion, no BMS fault codes.
After installing fresh batteries, remove and reseat them once to complete the lock's power-up handshake before closing the door.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Vingcard 12 / 1200 Series — 9V Alkaline Replacement Battery (HTL-26)

This 9V alkaline battery replaces the HTL-26, EBDL-26, and DL-26 cells used in Vingcard 12 and 1200 series electronic door locks. At 2700mAh (24.3Wh), it powers the lock's motor, keycard reader, and control electronics between service intervals. Fits hotel, commercial, and institutional installations running the Vingcard 12/1200 platform.

  • Vingcard 12 and 1200 platform fit: Both models share the same HTL-26 battery housing, connector cavity, and 9V power rail feeding the lock controller and RFID reader board — one cell covers both variants.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the Vingcard 12 lock's motor-engage and keycard-read sequences. The voltage held stable across repeated card presentations and deadbolt throws without triggering the low-battery interrupt on the controller.
  • Post-swap access verification: After fitting the new battery, test keycard entry, PIN entry, and any Bluetooth or mobile-key access before closing the door. Some Vingcard controllers run a firmware handshake after power interruption that must complete before all credential types are accepted.

Why Vingcard 12 locks beep immediately after a fresh battery install

The Vingcard 12 controller samples terminal voltage within seconds of power-up. If the cell sits at storage voltage — typically 8.5V or below — the controller flags a low-battery condition before the lock has done any useful work. A fresh alkaline cell off the shelf should read at or above 9V open-circuit. Check the cell with a multimeter before installing; anything under 8.8V at rest will likely trigger the warning immediately.

Vingcard 12 not responding to keycards after battery replacement

Swapping the battery interrupts power to the RFID reader and the lock's onboard controller simultaneously. On the Vingcard 12, the controller needs a clean boot cycle to reinitialise the card-reading firmware. If keycards are ignored after the swap, remove the battery, wait 10 seconds, and reinsert it — this forces a full restart. Once the indicator LED completes its startup sequence, present the card again; the reader should respond at that point.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Vingcard 12 lock shows a low battery warning seconds after I put in a brand-new HTL-26 — what's happening?

The Vingcard 12 reads terminal voltage on startup, and a cell that has been sitting in storage can measure below the 8.8V threshold the controller expects from a fresh 9V alkaline. Check open-circuit voltage with a multimeter before installing — a good cell should read 9.0V or higher. Also confirm polarity is correct; a reversed cell reads near zero and trips the same warning. Fit a confirmed 9V+ cell and the warning should clear on the next power-up cycle.

The lock motor sounds sluggish and the deadbolt throws slowly — the battery is new, so why?

The deadbolt motor draws a sharp current spike at the start of each throw, and a cell at the lower edge of its voltage range sags under that load even if it reads 9V unloaded. Verify the installed cell reads above 9V under load by pressing the handle or keypad while watching a multimeter across the terminals — a drop below 8.5V under load means the cell is undersized or partially discharged. Swap in a confirmed fresh cell and test the throw speed again; a full-capacity 2700mAh alkaline at 9V should drive the motor without hesitation.

After changing the battery in my Vingcard 1200, the keypad works but the Bluetooth mobile key app won't connect — is the lock broken?

This is a known re-initialisation behaviour on Vingcard electronic locks — the Bluetooth module loses its pairing handshake when power is cut during a battery swap. Remove the battery, wait 15 seconds to allow capacitors on the Bluetooth board to discharge fully, then reinsert the battery and let the startup LED sequence finish before opening the app. If the app still does not see the lock, trigger a re-pair from within the lock management software at the front desk rather than from the guest-side app.
