Fits Wella Eclipse Clipper, replaces OEM part number 8725-1001.
3.7V lithium-ion cell delivers 3000mAh capacity for full motor performance on each charge cycle.
Connector slides straight into the Eclipse battery slot with positive contact facing the spring terminal.
Bench test showed stable voltage delivery under motor load with no BMS cutoff delay or sag.
Dry the battery contacts and clipper slot completely before installation — moisture on the spring terminal triggers a false low-battery shutdown that clears only after the cell sits overnight.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Wella Eclipse Clipper — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (8725-1001)

This is a 3.7V, 3000mAh (11.1Wh) lithium-ion battery for the Wella Eclipse Clipper. It replaces OEM part numbers 8725-1001 and 93151-101. If your Eclipse Clipper no longer holds a charge or cuts out during use, this is the direct cell replacement.

  • Eclipse Clipper platform fit: The Eclipse Clipper uses a single-cell 3.7V Li-ion configuration with a specific cell footprint of 65.81 × 20.60 × 18.40mm. The BMS handshake and connector pinout match the OEM spec — no modifications needed to seat and connect the cell.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge cycles on the Eclipse Clipper platform and confirmed the BMS accepted the cell without triggering a protection fault. Motor load draw stayed within the cell's discharge curve through full depletion.
  • Clipper port care after cleaning: If you rinse or wipe down the Eclipse Clipper with product spray, let the charging port air dry for at least 30 minutes before docking. Residual moisture bridging the charge contacts trips a BMS protection fault the device reads as a dead battery — not a charging error.

Why the Eclipse Clipper loses cutting power before the low-battery indicator activates

The Eclipse Clipper's motor draws a sharp current spike under load — especially through thick or coarse hair. A degraded cell cannot hold voltage steady under that spike, so voltage sags below the motor's operating threshold before the fuel gauge registers empty. The indicator measures resting voltage between cuts, not voltage under load. A fresh 3000mAh cell with a lower internal resistance closes that gap and maintains consistent motor speed through the discharge cycle.

Capacity indicator drifts after months of daily partial charging

Charging the Eclipse Clipper daily without fully depleting the cell causes the BMS's state-of-charge estimate to drift. The indicator shows full, but the clipper cuts out well before the session ends. This is not a dock or charger fault — it is a cell calibration issue compounded by shallow-cycle degradation. Replace the cell, then run two full discharge-and-charge cycles to let the BMS recalibrate against the new cell's actual capacity.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Eclipse Clipper slows down mid-haircut even though the battery indicator still shows charge — what's happening?

Voltage sag under motor load is the cause. When the cell ages, its internal resistance rises, and the voltage drops sharply the moment the motor pulls current through thick hair — even if the resting voltage still reads as "charged." The indicator measures resting voltage between strokes, so it lags behind what's actually available under load. Replacing the cell with a fresh 3000mAh unit restores stable voltage delivery through the full discharge cycle.

The Eclipse Clipper won't charge after I cleaned it with a spray — dock light blinks but nothing happens.

Cleaning product or water residue bridging the charging contacts trips a BMS protection fault. The device reports this as a dead battery rather than a charging error, which is why the dock light blinks with no progress. Remove the clipper from the dock, dry the charging port thoroughly with a dry cloth, and leave it for at least 30 minutes before reconnecting. If the fault persists after drying, the BMS may need a reset — disconnect the battery, wait 60 seconds, and reconnect before docking again.

The dock contacts on my Eclipse Clipper look discoloured — could that be why it stopped charging?

Yes. Salon cleaning products and styling residues oxidise the dock's gold or nickel contacts over time, raising contact resistance enough to prevent a reliable charge signal reaching the battery. This is a dock fault, not a battery fault — wipe both the clipper's charge pins and the dock contacts with a cotton swab lightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol (70% or above). Let both surfaces dry fully before docking, and check that the charge indicator responds within 30 seconds of reconnection.
