Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Wiko Lubi 3 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This is a 3.7V, 900mAh (3.33Wh) lithium-ion replacement battery for the Wiko Lubi 3 smartphone. It fits directly into the Lubi 3 battery bay and restores power to calls, messaging, and basic applications. Use this when the original cell no longer holds a charge or fails to start the phone.
- Lubi 3 fitment: The Lubi 3 uses a compact removable cell at 53.00 x 34.00 x 4.30mm. This replacement matches that footprint exactly, so the battery door closes flush and the connector seats without force.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full discharge and charge sequences on the Lubi 3 platform. The BMS handshake completed normally each time, and charge IC communication stayed stable across multiple cycles.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first install: After fitting this cell, run one full discharge down to auto-shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% before use. This lets the Lubi 3 fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve — skipping this step causes the OS to report incorrect percentages for the first several cycles.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Lubi 3 after a cell swap
The Lubi 3 fuel gauge IC stores a discharge curve from the previous cell. When a new cell arrives with a different internal resistance profile, the IC misreads remaining capacity. Under modem load — during a call or data burst — voltage drops sharply at the actual low end of the new cell, crossing the hardware cutoff threshold before the OS percentage reaches zero. One complete discharge-charge cycle after installation allows the fuel gauge to update its reference points against the new cell and resolve this behaviour.
Phone won't power on after the replacement battery sat in storage
Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If this battery shipped or was stored for several weeks, cell voltage may have dropped below 2.5V — the threshold where the BMS engages a protection lockout and blocks output. Connect the Lubi 3 to a charger and leave it for 15–20 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until voltage recovers above the BMS re-enable threshold, typically around 2.9V, at which point normal charging resumes and the phone will power on.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Wiko Lubi 3 shuts off at around 25% after I put in the new battery — is the cell faulty?
The cell is almost certainly fine. The Lubi 3 fuel gauge IC is still running the discharge curve it learned from the old cell, so its capacity estimate diverges from the new cell's actual voltage behaviour under load. During a call or screen-on burst, real voltage drops faster than the IC expects and the phone hits the hardware cutoff before the displayed percentage reaches zero. Run one full uninterrupted discharge to auto-shutdown, then charge straight to 100% — the IC recalibrates against the new curve and the early shutdowns stop.
The battery percentage on my Lubi 3 jumps around erratically after fitting this replacement — goes from 60% to 45% in seconds.
That's the coulomb counter and fuel gauge IC out of sync with the new cell. The Lubi 3 tracks charge state using a combination of voltage readings and current integration, both calibrated to the old cell's impedance profile. A fresh cell has different internal resistance, so those two data sources disagree and the OS percentage jumps to reconcile them. The fix is the same: one complete discharge to shutdown followed by a full uninterrupted charge to 100%. After that anchor cycle the readings stabilise.
The Lubi 3 feels warm near the battery compartment for the first hour of charging the new cell — is that normal?
Some warmth on the first charge cycle is expected. A new high-impedance cell requires the charge IC to push slightly harder during the constant-current phase, generating more heat than a well-cycled cell would. As long as the phone is not hot to the touch and charging stops normally at 100%, this is within normal bounds. If the phone gets uncomfortably hot or charging does not terminate, remove the battery and inspect the contacts for any debris bridging the terminals.
