Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Wooking Jiasha ST Pro — 7.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery
This is a 7.7V, 4650mAh (35.81Wh) lithium-polymer cell for the Wooking Jiasha ST Pro laptop. It replaces the original battery when the existing cell no longer holds a charge or fails to power the notebook away from mains. Dimensions are 249.60 x 49.10 x 5.00mm — match these against your current cell before installing.
- Jiasha ST Pro platform fit: The Jiasha ST Pro uses a slim Li-Polymer pack at 7.7V to stay within the notebook's thermal and physical envelope. This cell matches that voltage rail and physical footprint so the BMS handshake completes without errors on first boot.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a Jiasha ST Pro unit. The BMS accepted the new cell without fault flags, and charge current tapered correctly in the CV phase above 8.2V.
- Post-install calibration for the Jiasha ST Pro: After fitting, run the battery down until the laptop hibernates on low-voltage cutoff, then charge it uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning the firmware throws after every cell swap.
BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after fitting the new cell
The Jiasha ST Pro BIOS reads health data stored in the battery's EEPROM. A fresh replacement cell carries factory EEPROM values that don't match the charge history the BIOS expects, so it flags the battery as degraded even though the cell is new. Running one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% gives the firmware enough data to recalibrate. After two to three cycles, the health status corrects itself in both the BIOS and the OS battery panel.
Laptop shuts down abruptly at 20–30% charge shown on screen
This happens when the fuel gauge IC hasn't been calibrated against the new cell yet. The displayed percentage is based on stale data, so the laptop thinks it has more charge than the cell can actually sustain under full CPU and display load. Voltage drops faster than the gauge predicts and the BMS triggers a hard cutoff to protect the cell. Complete two full discharge-to-hibernate and charge-to-100% cycles — the fuel gauge IC tracks the actual voltage curve of the new cell and the shutdowns stop.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Jiasha ST Pro shows the new battery as "0%" or "unknown" and won't charge — what's wrong?
The BIOS hasn't completed a battery learn cycle against the new cell's EEPROM data yet, so it can't read the state of charge. Plug in the charger and leave it connected for at least 30 minutes without interrupting the session — most units will begin registering a percentage once the BMS initialises the first charge increment. If it stays at 0%, do a full shutdown (not sleep), remove and reseat the battery connector, then boot directly to the charger. The BIOS re-reads the EEPROM on cold boot and charge registration usually completes within one full cycle to 100%.
System info shows a different Wh rating than the 35.81Wh listed for this battery — is the cell wrong?
The Wh figure shown in Windows or the BIOS is read from the cell's EEPROM, which stores the manufacturer's rated chemistry value — it can differ slightly from the measured capacity of the actual cell. The physical cell is 4650mAh at 7.7V, which calculates to 35.81Wh. If your system reports a number close to that figure, the cell is correct and no action is needed. If the reported value is significantly different, run one full calibration cycle (discharge to hibernate, charge uninterrupted to 100%) — the BIOS rewrites its working capacity figure after the learn cycle completes.
The Jiasha ST Pro stops charging at 80% and won't go higher — is the replacement cell defective?
A charge ceiling at 80% is almost always a BIOS-controlled charge limit, not a fault with the cell itself. Many slim notebooks ship with battery conservation mode enabled by default, which caps charge to extend the cell's calendar life. Check the power management settings in the BIOS (often listed as "Battery Care" or "Charge Limit") and in any manufacturer utility installed in Windows. Disable the limit or set the threshold to 100%, then reconnect the charger — the cell will charge to full.
