Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Xiaomi Mi 4c — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BM35)
This is a 3000mAh (11.55Wh) lithium-polymer cell at 3.85V, replacing the OEM BM35 battery in the Xiaomi Mi 4c and Mi 4c Dual SIM. It fits the same footprint as the original — 68.90 × 59.57 × 4.45 mm — and connects to the same charge IC and fuel gauge circuitry. Install it when the original cell no longer holds voltage under screen or modem load.
- Mi 4c and Mi 4c Dual SIM compatibility: Both variants share the same BM35 connector pinout, voltage rail, and BMS handshake. One cell fits both. No hardware differences between the single and dual SIM models affect battery installation or charge IC communication.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the Mi 4c charge IC and confirmed BMS communication, charge termination at the correct cutoff voltage, and stable discharge under combined screen and LTE modem load without unexpected cutoff events.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle at standard current. This gives the fuel gauge IC a clean discharge curve to map against the new cell before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated coulomb counter.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Mi 4c after a cell swap
This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity issue. Under combined modem and display load, the new cell's voltage sags below the BMS protection threshold before the reported percentage reaches zero — because the fuel gauge IC is still running the old cell's discharge curve. The phone interprets this as a normal cutoff and shuts down, even though the reported percentage says otherwise. One full discharge cycle without fast charging lets the coulomb counter remap to the new cell and eliminates most of these early shutdowns.
USB fast charge not activating on the first cycle after replacement
After a cell swap, the charge IC on the Mi 4c may not handshake correctly with the fast-charge protocol on the first plug-in. This happens because the BMS on a fresh cell starts in a conservative charge state until it has completed at least one standard charge cycle. Forcing a fast-charge session into an uncalibrated cell can also skew the fuel gauge reading early on. Let the battery complete one full charge at standard USB current — around 5V/1A — then fast charging will activate normally on subsequent cycles.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Xiaomi Mi 4c shuts off at around 25% after I fitted the new BM35 battery — is something wrong with the cell?
Nothing is wrong with the cell. The fuel gauge IC is still using the discharge curve it learned from the old, degraded battery, so it misreads the new cell's remaining voltage. Under LTE or screen load, the actual cell voltage sags below the BMS cutoff before the displayed percentage reaches zero. Run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown and then charge uninterrupted to 100% — the coulomb counter will remap to the new cell and the early shutdowns will stop.
The percentage on my Mi 4c is jumping around erratically after the battery swap — it went from 60% to 40% in seconds without any heavy use.
That's the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against the new cell. The coulomb counter accumulated error data from the old cell over hundreds of cycles, and it doesn't reset automatically when you swap the battery. The percentage will stabilise after one or two complete discharge-charge cycles at standard current. Avoid interrupting those first cycles mid-charge, as a partial cycle extends how long the erratic readings persist.
My Mi 4c feels noticeably warm near the battery during the first few charges on the replacement cell — is the charge IC overloading it?
This is normal for the first few cycles on a new high-impedance lithium-polymer cell. A fresh cell has slightly higher internal resistance than a broken-in one, so the charge IC dissipates a little more heat while it pushes current through. The warmth should reduce noticeably by the third or fourth charge cycle as internal resistance drops. If the phone stays hot to the touch beyond the fifth cycle or the back panel bulges at any point, stop charging and check the cell for swelling.
