Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Zebra Xbook L10 / Xslate L10 — 7.6V Li-ion Replacement Battery (LYNPL03)
This is a 7.6V, 13000mAh (98.8Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the Zebra Xbook L10 and Xslate L10 rugged tablets. It slots in when the original cell has degraded to the point where the tablet won't hold a useful charge through a field shift. Capacity figure is from product data — 13000mAh at 7.6V nominal.
- Xbook L10 and Xslate L10 platform fit: Both models share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers both. The LYNPL03 part number is the key identifier across the platform.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through the Xbook L10 charge IC and confirmed the BMS initialised correctly, protection thresholds engaged at expected cutoff voltages, and no spurious low-battery shutdowns occurred during the charge sequence.
- Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: After fitting this battery, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This forces the fuel gauge IC to recalibrate against the new cell capacity and clears the inaccurate percentage readings that appear immediately after a battery swap.
Xbook L10 shutting down at 15–25% remaining under field load
The Xbook L10 combines a high-brightness display with active WiFi and background enterprise sync — that combined draw creates a sharp voltage sag near the bottom of the discharge curve. The BMS reads cell voltage rather than percentage and trips the cutoff when voltage drops below the protection floor, even if the fuel gauge still shows charge remaining. On an old or uncalibrated cell this happens earlier because internal resistance is higher, accelerating the sag. Running the full recalibration cycle described above — one discharge to shutoff, one uninterrupted charge to 100% — realigns the fuel gauge to the actual cell and pushes that cutoff point to the correct low-single-digit percentage.
Fast charging not available on the Xslate L10 after battery replacement
The Xslate L10 uses a USB-PD negotiation handshake to enable higher charge rates — the charge IC on the device side confirms cell state before stepping up to fast-charge current. On a freshly installed cell, the IC defaults to a conservative trickle rate until it has completed at least one accepted charge cycle and logged the BMS data. Plug in using the original Zebra charger or a certified USB-PD adapter and let the first charge complete without interruption. Fast charge availability returns from the second cycle onward.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Zebra Xbook L10 is showing 60% battery but the tablet just shut off — is the new battery faulty?
It's not faulty — the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, so the percentage on screen doesn't match what the new cell is actually delivering. The BMS trips on real cell voltage, not the displayed number, so a cutoff at an apparently high percentage is normal right after a swap. Run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After that cycle the gauge recalibrates and the shutdowns stop.
The Xbook L10 battery percentage is dropping fast from 100% — loses 20% in the first hour even on light tasks.
This is fuel gauge drift — the IC learned the old cell's capacity and is applying that calibration to the new, larger cell, so early percentage steps look exaggerated. It doesn't mean the cell is losing charge faster; the underlying capacity is intact. One complete discharge-to-shutoff followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% resets the IC's reference points against the new 13000mAh cell. The drop rate normalises from the second cycle onward.
Fast charging stopped working on the Xslate L10 after I swapped the battery — it's charging, just very slowly.
The Xslate L10's charge IC defaults to a reduced current rate on an uncalibrated cell — it won't step up to full USB-PD fast-charge current until it has logged one complete accepted charge cycle from the new battery. Use the original Zebra charger or a USB-PD certified adapter and let the first charge run to 100% without unplugging. Fast charge re-engages automatically from the second charge cycle.
