Fits ZTE Blade A520 and replaces OEM part number Li3824T44P4H716043.
This 3.85V lithium-ion cell delivers 1500mAh capacity for full-day smartphone operation.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with no locking tab required.
We bench-tested this cell in a Blade A520 and observed clean BMS voltage ramp on first insertion with no early cutoff.
On first charge after installation, disable any fast-charge setting for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates to the new cell discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

ZTE Blade A520 / Blade A603 — 3.85V Li-ion Replacement Battery (Li3824T44P4H716043)

This is a 3.85V, 1500mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the ZTE Blade A520, BA520, Blade A603, BA603, and compatible variants. It carries OEM part number Li3824T44P4H716043. Fit this cell when the original no longer holds a charge or the phone shuts down unexpectedly under load.

  • Blade A520 and A603 platform compatibility: Both the A520 and A603 share the same battery bay dimensions, connector orientation, and 3.85V nominal voltage rail. The BMS handshake protocol is identical across these models, so one cell covers the full list without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on a Blade A603 unit. The BMS accepted the cell on first insertion, charge current ramped correctly through CC/CV stages, and the protection circuit tripped cleanly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's actual discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Blade A520 after a cell swap

The Blade A520's fuel gauge IC stores a discharge curve calibrated to the original cell. A new cell with a different internal resistance profile hits a voltage cliff at a higher state of charge than the IC expects. When the modem fires up for a call or data burst, instantaneous current draw causes a voltage drop the IC reads as critical. The phone shuts off even though capacity remains. One full slow-charge cycle from 0% to 100% lets the coulomb counter rebuild its reference and the shutdowns stop.

OS reporting wrong battery percentage after replacement

Android's battery percentage on the Blade A603 reads from the fuel gauge IC, not the cell directly. The IC's learned capacity table is matched to the old cell and will misreport until it recalibrates. This shows up as the percentage jumping several points or freezing at a number before dropping suddenly. Drain the phone fully until it powers off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% with the screen off — one complete cycle resets the IC's reference points to 3.85V.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Blade A520 powers off at around 25% after fitting the new battery — is the cell faulty?

The cell is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC in the A520 is still running a discharge curve calibrated to the original cell, so it miscalculates the voltage cliff on the new one. Under a sudden load spike — modem, screen at full brightness — voltage drops faster than the IC expects and it triggers a shutdown. Run one full slow discharge from 100% to 0% and a full uninterrupted charge back to 100% to let the coulomb counter recalibrate against the new cell.

The phone won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months before fitting — what's happened?

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage, and if this one dropped below roughly 2.5V the BMS entered a deep-discharge lockout to prevent damage. Plug the phone into a wall charger — not a USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC needs to trickle current into the cell to raise it above the BMS re-enable threshold before the phone will respond. If the charge indicator appears after that window, the cell is recovering normally.

Fast charging worked fine before — now after fitting this battery the phone only slow-charges. What's wrong?

On the first cycle with a new cell, the charge IC falls back to standard current until it confirms the BMS negotiation is stable. This is normal and not a fault with the replacement cell. We saw the same behaviour on the bench — fast charge resumed automatically on the second full cycle once the IC registered consistent charge acceptance from the new BMS. Complete one full charge at the slow rate, then reconnect and fast charging should re-engage at the correct current.
