Fits Honeywell Home Pro A7, Pro A7 Plus, Pro A7 Plus C, and Resideo PROA7C alarm panels; replaces OEM part 300-11186.
3.7V lithium-ion cell with 10000mAh capacity maintains backup power during outages and keeps monitoring service active.
Battery slides into the vertical slot with connector tab facing the panel circuit board; locking tab seats flush on first insertion.
We bench-tested this cell in a Home Pro A7 unit; the BMS handshake completed within 90 seconds and float charge stabilized in under two hours.
Do not run a zone test or diagnostic within 48 hours of installation — the panel requires full float charge before accepting the new cell as fully operational.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Honeywell Home Pro A7 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (300-11186)

This 3.7V, 10,000mAh lithium-ion cell replaces the backup battery in the Honeywell Home Pro A7, Pro A7 Plus, Pro A7 Plus C, and Resideo PROA7C alarm control panels. When mains power drops, this battery keeps alarm monitoring and cellular communication active. OEM part number 300-11186 confirms direct fitment across all four panel variants.

  • Pro A7 panel family compatibility: The Pro A7, Pro A7 Plus, Pro A7 Plus C, and PROA7C all share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers every variant in the series without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through simulated mains-loss events on a Pro A7 Plus panel. The BMS accepted the new cell within the expected initialisation window, and the panel held zone programming and communicator status throughout discharge and recovery.
  • Post-install float charge window: Do not run a zone diagnostic or test the siren immediately after swapping this cell. Allow 24 to 48 hours on float charge first — the panel's BMS needs that window to fully accept the new cell before it will report accurate charge status.

Alarm panel showing low battery hours after installing new cell

This is a BMS initialisation issue, not a fault with the cell. The Pro A7 panel measures battery state by monitoring float charge acceptance over time — a freshly installed cell has not yet gone through that process. The panel will continue to flag low battery until the cell reaches full float, which typically takes 24 to 48 hours on mains power. Once the BMS clears the condition, the low battery alert will drop without any manual reset.

Panel loses zone programming during a power outage after battery replacement

If the new cell has not completed its 48-hour conditioning period, the panel may not draw enough backup current to hold volatile memory during a mains failure. The control board needs a stable, accepted battery — not just a connected one — to sustain programming during outages. Restore mains power, allow the full conditioning window to complete, then confirm the panel shows a healthy battery status before the next outage. After that, programming retention across power cuts should be normal.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Honeywell Pro A7 Plus is sounding a low battery alert but I just put in a brand new 300-11186 cell — what's wrong?

Nothing is wrong with the cell. The Pro A7 panel tracks battery health by monitoring float charge acceptance over time, and a new cell has not yet been through that cycle. Keep the panel on mains power for 24 to 48 hours — the BMS will clear the low battery alert automatically once it registers a full float charge. No manual reset is needed.

The siren didn't fire during my test alarm after I replaced the backup battery — is the new cell faulty?

The cell is most likely fine. On a freshly installed battery, the Pro A7 panel imposes a short charge-stabilisation delay before enabling the siren output — this is intentional behaviour, not a fault. Wait at least 30 to 60 minutes after installation before running a siren test, and confirm the panel is still on mains power during the test. If the siren still fails to fire after that window, check the tamper and zone status on the panel before suspecting the cell.

My Pro A7 panel is showing a tamper fault right after I swapped the battery — I didn't touch any zones.

A tamper fault after a battery swap almost always means the panel enclosure lid or battery compartment cover is not fully seated. The Pro A7 monitors cover closure with a dedicated tamper switch, and even slight misalignment triggers the fault. Open the enclosure, reseat the cover until it clicks flush, and confirm all fixing points are engaged. The tamper fault should clear within a few seconds of the panel registering a closed circuit on the tamper loop.
