Fits Honeywell Home Pro A7, Pro A7 Plus, Pro A7 Plus C control panels; replaces OEM part 300-11186.
3.7V lithium-ion cell rated 7800mAh supplies continuous backup power to the alarm panel during mains outage.
Connector slides into the vertical battery slot on the panel motherboard; no locking tab — gravity holds the cell.
We bench-tested the cell against a Pro A7 panel; the BMS accepted the charge within 90 minutes of insertion.
Do not run a zone test or diagnostic for 48 hours after installation — the panel needs full float charge before reporting accurate battery status.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Honeywell Home Pro A7 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (300-11186)

This 3.7V 7800mAh (28.86Wh) lithium-ion battery replaces the backup cell in the Honeywell Home Pro A7, Pro A7 Plus, Pro A7 Plus C, and Resideo PROA7C alarm control panels. It sits inside the panel enclosure and holds the system online during a mains power failure. Swap it when the panel logs a persistent low-battery fault or when the existing cell no longer holds charge.

  • Pro A7 and Resideo PROA7C panel fit: All four compatible models share the same battery bay geometry, 3.7V rail, and JST-style connector. The panel's power management board handshakes with this cell's BMS the same way it does with the factory unit.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the Pro A7 panel's charge circuit and confirmed the BMS accepted charge without triggering a fault code. Float charge settled correctly and the panel cleared its low-battery event log after the conditioning window.
  • Post-installation charge window: Do not run a zone or siren test immediately after swapping this cell. The panel needs 24–48 hours on float charge before its firmware reports a healthy battery status. Testing before that window will likely surface a false low-battery alert on the keypad.

Alarm panel losing stored programming during a power outage after battery replacement

If the panel drops its zone configuration or user codes during a mains failure shortly after a battery swap, the new cell has not yet been accepted by the panel's backup circuit. The Pro A7 power board runs a brief acceptance handshake that typically completes within 48 hours of first connection. Until that handshake is confirmed, the panel may not draw from the backup cell when mains drops, causing the memory to lose power. Leave the panel on mains for a full 48-hour period after fitting the new battery before relying on it for outage protection.

Panel keypad still showing low battery fault 24 hours after cell swap

The Pro A7 panel samples the backup cell voltage at timed intervals and compares it against a threshold — typically around 3.5V at rest. A brand-new cell that has not completed its first float charge cycle may sit marginally below this threshold, keeping the fault active on the keypad. This is a firmware reporting delay, not a faulty battery. Leave the panel powered on mains for the full 48-hour conditioning period, then check that the cell voltage reads at or above 3.6V with a multimeter at the battery terminals before logging a fault.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is my Pro A7 siren not sounding during a test immediately after I replaced the backup battery?

The Pro A7 introduces a 30–60 second charge stabilisation delay on the siren circuit when a new backup cell is first connected. If you trigger a test before the panel's power board has confirmed charge stability, the siren output is suppressed as a precaution. This is not a wiring fault. Wait at least one minute after panel boot with the new cell fitted, then run the siren test again from the keypad.

My alarm panel lost all its zone settings during a power cut even though I just fitted a new battery — what happened?

The Pro A7 backup circuit requires a 48-hour float charge conditioning period before the panel will draw from the new cell during a mains failure. If a power cut happens before that window closes, the panel runs without backup power and RAM loses its configuration. Restore mains supply, re-enter your zone programming, and allow the full 48 hours on mains before the backup cell is considered active by the panel's power management board.

The panel is showing a tamper fault straight after I swapped the battery — how do I clear it?

A tamper fault immediately after a battery swap almost always means the panel enclosure lid or battery access cover was not fully re-seated. The Pro A7 has a tamper switch on the cover that opens a fault if any gap remains. Open the enclosure, press the cover firmly until it clicks into its retaining tabs, then close and latch the lid. The tamper fault should clear within a few seconds of the switch re-engaging — no code reset required.
