Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Aito A-23002 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (NP60FU)
This is a 3.7V, 1050mAh Li-ion battery for the Aito A-23002 digital camera. It replaces the original NP60FU cell when the factory battery no longer holds a charge or fails to power the camera. Capacity is 3.89Wh and dimensions are 53.20 × 35.30 × 7.10mm — physically identical to the OEM unit.
- A-23002 fit confirmation: The A-23002 runs a 3.7V single-cell architecture with a compact form factor. This cell matches the voltage rail, physical footprint, and connector orientation of the original NP60FU — no modifications needed.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on camera-class test equipment. The BMS responded correctly at both full-charge cutoff and low-voltage protection thresholds, with no false triggering at either end.
- First-cycle initialisation on the A-23002: Run the first charge cycle through the camera body or OEM charger before heavy shooting. Some compact camera BMS systems calibrate the battery-remaining indicator against the new cell's discharge curve only after completing one full in-body charge.
Camera showing dead battery indicator on a partially charged replacement cell
The A-23002's battery indicator maps voltage thresholds to a charge percentage display. A new third-party cell can have a slightly different resting voltage profile than the OEM unit, which causes the camera to read the cell as empty even when it isn't. The fix is straightforward: insert the battery and charge it fully in-camera before first use. After one complete charge cycle, the indicator typically calibrates and reads accurately from that point on.
Battery percentage jumping erratically during shooting
Erratic percentage readings on the A-23002 happen when the camera's voltage-to-percentage mapping doesn't match the new cell's discharge curve. The OEM firmware expects a specific voltage slope at each capacity level — a replacement cell with a flatter mid-range curve can cause the indicator to skip levels or drop suddenly. This isn't a faulty cell; it's a calibration mismatch. Run two full charge-discharge cycles in-camera and the indicator will stabilise as the BMS learns the new curve.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Aito A-23002 shows "no battery" or won't recognise the new cell — what's happening?
The A-23002's BMS runs an authentication check on insert, and a new replacement cell can fail that check on the first attempt if the resting voltage sits outside the camera's expected acceptance window. Insert the battery, close the compartment, and place the camera on charge via the OEM charger for a full cycle. Most cameras accept the cell after one completed charge and power-on sequence, after which the "no battery" prompt disappears.
The shot count on my A-23002 is lower than I expected from a 1050mAh cell — why?
Shot count estimates assume a baseline draw, but the A-23002 pulls additional current whenever flash recharges, autofocus hunts, or the LCD stays active between shots. Each flash cycle alone can pull several times the standby current for a fraction of a second. Switching to manual focus, reducing LCD brightness, and limiting flash use will extend the shot count closer to the rated capacity. Cold temperatures below 10°C also reduce usable capacity temporarily — allow the battery to warm to room temperature before shooting.
The flash on my A-23002 isn't fully recycling between shots with the new battery — is the cell defective?
Flash recycling depends on the capacitor recharge current the cell can sustain. Toward the end of a discharge cycle, voltage sag increases and the capacitor takes longer to reach full charge — this is normal cell behaviour, not a defect. If it happens early in a fresh charge, check that the battery contacts in the compartment are clean and making firm contact. Wipe the gold contacts on both the cell and camera body with a dry cloth, then reinsert and recharge to 4.2V before retesting.
