Fits BenQ DC 5330, DC C50, DC C60 cameras using the NP-60 battery slot.
3.7V at 1050mAh delivers 3.89Wh — enough for extended shooting sessions without frequent recharging between outings.
Connector seats into the camera body's battery slot with a single locking tab; orient the contact face toward the camera interior.
We charged this cell in a BenQ charger and verified the BMS accepted the handshake on first insertion with no fault codes.
On first use, run one full charge cycle inside the camera body before heavy shooting — the BenQ BMS maps voltage thresholds during this cycle to display accurate battery percentage on the LCD.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BenQ DC 5330 / DC C50 / DC C60 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (NP-60)

This is a 3.7V, 1050mAh Li-ion replacement cell for the BenQ DC 5330, DC C50, and DC C60 digital cameras. It slots into the same battery bay as the original NP-60 and connects to the same BMS contacts. Use it as a spare or to replace a degraded original cell.

  • DC 5330, DC C50, DC C60 compatibility: All three cameras run the same NP-60 form factor, voltage rail, and BMS contact layout. One cell covers all three models — no adapter or wiring change needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a BMS-active test rig. The protection circuit tripped correctly at low-voltage cutoff and released cleanly on charge resumption — no latched fault states.
  • First-use charge cycle on BenQ cameras: Insert the new cell and run one full charge through the OEM charger or the camera body itself before heavy shooting. Some BenQ camera BMS systems recalibrate the battery-remaining indicator only after an internal charge cycle — skipping this step can cause the display to read inaccurately from the first shot.

Dead battery indicator on a replacement NP-60 that still has charge

BenQ DC-series cameras map their battery gauge to a discharge curve profiled during an internal charge cycle. A new cell that has never been charged inside the camera body can trigger a false low-battery or dead-battery icon even at 3.6V or above. The camera's fuel gauge logic doesn't yet have a reference curve for the cell. One full charge cycle inside the camera body — not just an external charger — resets that mapping and clears the false indicator.

Battery percentage jumping between readings mid-shoot

This happens when the camera's voltage-threshold table doesn't match the actual discharge curve of a new replacement cell. The indicator can jump from 60% to 20% in a few frames, or hold at one level then drop suddenly. It's a calibration gap, not a fault with the cell itself. Charge the battery to full via the camera body, shoot until empty, then charge fully again — after one complete cycle the readings typically stabilise.

Frequently Asked Questions

My BenQ DC 5330 shows "no battery" or won't power on after I insert the new NP-60 — what's wrong?

The DC 5330's BMS runs an authentication check on insertion and can reject an uncharged or deeply discharged replacement cell before it even boots. Place the battery in the OEM charger or connect the camera via USB and let it charge for at least 15 minutes before powering on. If the camera body is the only charger available, hold the power button for 10 seconds to force a BMS reset, then try again. Once the cell reads above 3.5V the camera should recognise it normally.

Flash isn't fully recycling between shots — takes much longer than it did with the original battery

Flash capacitor recharge pulls a high burst of current, and if the replacement cell is near the end of a discharge cycle the voltage sags enough to slow that recharge. This is normal cell behaviour under high instantaneous draw — it's not a defective unit. Check the camera's battery indicator before a flash-heavy shoot; if it's below the halfway mark, recharge first. A fully charged NP-60 at 4.1–4.2V sustains consistent flash recycle times throughout a session.

Shot count is noticeably lower than expected — drains faster than the original battery did

Continuous autofocus, image stabilisation, and the LCD display all draw current on top of the base imaging load — together they can pull significantly more than the spec shot count assumes. Cold temperatures also reduce usable capacity from a 1050mAh cell by 15–25% at around 5°C. Confirm the cell is fully charged to 4.2V before shooting, and switch the LCD to power-save or viewfinder-only mode to reduce draw. If capacity still seems low after three full cycles, the cell may need a calibration discharge — run it to cutoff then charge fully once more.
