Fits BLU Life Play, Life Play X, L102A, and L100 smartphones — replaces OEM battery C735804180T directly.
3.7V and 1600mAh capacity restores full charge cycles on this device after original cell degradation or failure.
Connector is a two-pin JST-style plug with flat locking tab — seats vertically into the battery bay without force.
We bench tested this cell on a Life Play simulator rig; BMS accepted the pack on insertion and delivered stable 3.7V under 500mA load through shutdown.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against this cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BLU Life Play / Life Play X — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (C735804180T)

This is a 3.7V, 1600mAh Li-ion cell that replaces the original BLU battery in the Life Play, Life Play X, L102A, and L100 smartphones. It uses the same OEM part number C735804180T and fits the same battery bay without modification. If your phone no longer holds a charge or shuts down unexpectedly, this cell restores normal operation.

  • Life Play / Life Play X compatibility: Both the Life Play and Life Play X use the same 3.7V battery bay, connector pitch, and BMS handshake protocol. One cell covers both models. No adapter or modification required.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Life Play platform. The BMS accepted the new cell without triggering lockout, and the charge IC ramped current correctly through CC and CV phases.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first install: On first use after installation, run one complete discharge-charge cycle with fast charging disabled. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Life Play after a cell swap

The Life Play uses a coulomb counter that was calibrated to the discharge curve of the original cell. A new cell with a slightly different internal resistance profile causes the fuel gauge to misread remaining voltage under load. When the modem or screen pulls a short burst of current, the actual cell voltage drops below the shutdown threshold even though the reported percentage looks healthy. One full discharge-charge cycle with the screen on and mobile data active forces the IC to relearn the curve. After that cycle, shutdowns at false percentages stop.

Phone won't power on after the replacement cell sat in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If the cell voltage dropped below approximately 2.5V before installation, the BMS enters a protective lockout state and blocks normal boot. The phone will show nothing on screen even with a charger connected. Connect the phone to a wall adapter — not a USB port — and leave it for 20 to 30 minutes without pressing the power button. Once the cell recovers above the BMS recovery threshold, the charge IC will resume and the phone will respond normally.

Frequently Asked Questions

My BLU Life Play shows 25% battery and then just cuts off — is the new cell faulty?

This is a fuel gauge IC calibration issue, not a defective cell. The coulomb counter in the Life Play was mapped to the old cell's discharge curve, so it misreads remaining capacity on the replacement. Under a sudden load spike — modem radio, screen brightness jump — the actual cell voltage drops past the shutdown threshold before the reported percentage reaches zero. Run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% with fast charging off. That single cycle re-anchors the fuel gauge to the new cell's curve and the premature shutdowns stop.

The BLU Life Play battery percentage is jumping around erratically after I installed the new cell — 60% one minute, 45% the next.

The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating against an unfamiliar cell. It lost its reference point when the old cell was removed, and it's now estimating state-of-charge without a complete discharge curve to anchor to. Percentage readings will stabilise after one full discharge-charge cycle. Discharge the phone until it powers itself off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — after that cycle the readings will track consistently.

Fast charging stopped working after I swapped the battery in my BLU Life Play — it just trickle charges now.

On the first cycle after installation, the charge IC in the Life Play defaults to a conservative current profile when it detects an uncalibrated cell with unknown impedance. This is normal BMS behaviour — it's not accepting the full charge current until it has baseline data on the new cell. Charge the phone once at standard speed to 100% without interruption. On the next charge cycle, the IC should step back up to its normal current rate. If fast charging still does not resume after two full cycles, check that the charger output matches the original BLU wall adapter specification.
