Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BLU Studio 5.0C HD — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (C706043200L)
This is a 3.7V, 2000mAh Li-ion cell for the BLU Studio 5.0C HD and related Studio series smartphones. It fits the Studio 5.0 II, Studio 5.0C Mini, and D534, among others sharing the same battery bay and connector. OEM part numbers C706043200L and C706043200T both apply to this fit group.
- Studio series battery compatibility: These models share a common PCB connector, cell footprint (70.00 × 59.90 × 4.40mm), and a 3.7V nominal rail. The BMS handshake is identical across the group, so one cell covers all listed devices without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge passes on a Studio 5.0C HD unit. The BMS held charge current stable through the CC/CV transition, and protection cutoffs triggered correctly at both ends of the voltage range.
- Fuel gauge recalibration after install: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before it starts reporting percentages. Skipping this step causes erratic percentage readings in the first few days.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the BLU Studio after a cell swap
This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still using the discharge curve it mapped for the old, degraded cell. The new cell has a steeper voltage drop under modem and screen load near the bottom of its range — the fuel gauge doesn't see it coming. The phone cuts out before the percentage reaches zero. One full discharge-charge cycle with mobile data and screen brightness at normal levels forces the coulomb counter to recalibrate against actual cell behaviour. After that cycle, shutdowns at 20–30% stop.
BLU Studio not powering on after sitting in storage
If the phone has been stored with a flat or near-flat battery for weeks, the cell voltage can drop below 2.5V. At that point, the BMS enters lockout and blocks charging current entirely — the phone shows nothing when plugged in. Connect the phone to a low-current charger (5W, not fast charge) and leave it for 20–30 minutes before pressing the power button. The BMS needs a trickle input to exit lockout and allow the charge IC to begin normal charging. If the phone still shows no response after that window, check that the charger output is confirmed at 5V before replacing the cable.

Frequently Asked Questions
My BLU Studio 5.0C HD shows 30% battery and then just shuts off — is the new cell faulty?
The cell is almost certainly fine. This is a fuel gauge IC mismatch — the phone's coulomb counter is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve and can't predict the voltage cliff on the new cell under screen and modem load. Run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without fast charging enabled. That single cycle re-maps the IC to the new cell, and the early shutdowns stop.
Fast charging stopped working after I put in the replacement battery — the phone only trickle charges now.
On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC treats the new cell as unverified and defaults to a conservative current limit. This is a BMS handshake behaviour, not a defect. Charge the phone fully once at standard rate, then disconnect and reconnect to a fast charger. Most Studio units accept the faster protocol from the second cycle onward. If fast charging still doesn't engage after two full cycles, confirm the charger output is at least 9V/1.67A.
The battery percentage on my BLU Studio jumps around erratically — it reads 60%, then 45%, then 58% within minutes.
Erratic percentage jumping is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against an unfamiliar cell. The coulomb counter lost its reference point when the old cell was removed and is now making corrected guesses as it sees real discharge data. This settles after one or two complete discharge-charge cycles at normal screen and data use. Do not top up frequently during this period — partial cycles slow the recalibration. Let the phone discharge to auto-shutdown once, charge fully to 100%, and the jumping will stop.
