Fits Coolpad 8707 and replaces OEM battery CPLD-145.
This 3.7V 1500mAh cell delivers the original capacity; the 8707 fuel gauge IC expects this exact mAh rating on first cycle.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with a single locking tab on the right side; orientation is keyed and cannot reverse.
We bench-tested this cell in a stock 8707; the BMS accepted the charge handshake on first insertion and held voltage stable under idle drain.
On first use after installation, complete one full discharge-charge cycle without opening apps — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell curve before the modem or screen load causes a premature voltage cliff.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Coolpad 8707 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (CPLD-145)

This is a 3.7V, 1500mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Coolpad 8707 smartphone. It matches OEM part number CPLD-145 and fits the Coolpad 8707 directly. Install it when the original cell no longer holds charge or has failed completely.

  • Coolpad 8707 fit: The 8707 uses a fixed voltage rail at 3.7V nominal with a specific connector pinout tied to the CPLD-145 cell. Swapping to any other cell spec breaks the BMS handshake and prevents the phone from booting.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through a full charge cycle on the 8707 board. The BMS accepted the charge profile without fault flags, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes into an uncalibrated state.

Why the Coolpad 8707 reports the wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The 8707's fuel gauge IC uses a coulomb counter trained on the original cell's charge and discharge curve. When you install a new cell, the IC still references the old curve, so percentage readings are inaccurate from the start. This is normal and not a fault with the replacement battery. Run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown and one full charge to 100% to let the IC remap its reference table against the new cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the cell voltage drops sharply under load — typically when the modem is transmitting or the screen is at full brightness — even though the fuel gauge still shows charge remaining. The new cell's internal resistance is slightly higher than the aged original, so voltage sags below the BMS cutoff threshold under peak draw. The fuel gauge IC has not yet learned where the real voltage cliff sits on this cell. Complete two full discharge-charge cycles without fast charging; the cutoff behaviour typically stabilises once the IC recalibrates to the new cell's voltage floor, usually around 3.4–3.5V under load.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Coolpad 8707 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for months — is the cell dead?

It is not necessarily dead. If the cell discharged below roughly 2.5V during storage, the BMS enters a lockout state to prevent damage and blocks normal boot. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing any buttons. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until voltage climbs above the BMS recovery threshold, at which point the phone should power on normally.

The percentage on my Coolpad 8707 is jumping around erratically — 60% one minute, 45% the next. What's causing that?

The fuel gauge IC is still recalibrating its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve. The old reference data no longer matches how this cell loses voltage under load, so readings are inconsistent. This is not a fault with the battery itself. Run one complete discharge to auto-shutdown followed by a full uninterrupted charge to 100%; the IC will rewrite its curve and percentage reporting should stabilise.

Fast charging stopped working on my Coolpad 8707 after I installed this battery — the phone charges, but slowly.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC defaults to a conservative constant-current profile because it has not yet verified the new cell's impedance characteristics. The proprietary charge protocol requires at least one completed charge cycle before the IC steps up to higher current. Let the phone charge fully from near-empty to 100% once without interrupting it, and fast charging should resume on the following cycle.
