Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Esaote MyLab One Series — 14.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (NL2044)
This 14.8V 6600mAh Li-ion battery replaces the OEM pack in the Esaote MyLab One portable ultrasound system. It fits the MyLab One, MyLab One Vascular, MyLab One VET, and mylabone variants using OEM part numbers NL2044, NL2044HD, and NL2044LV. Capacity matches the original 97.68Wh specification.
- MyLab One platform compatibility: All listed MyLab One variants share the same 14.8V battery rail, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol. One pack covers the full range — clinical, vascular, and veterinary configurations use the same bay and the same BMS handshake sequence.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge-discharge cycles and monitored the BMS handshake at startup. The pack completed power-on self-test communication without fault flags and held stable voltage under the ultrasound system's active imaging load profile.
- First boot after installation: After fitting this battery, let the MyLab One complete its full power-on self-test cycle without interruption. The device runs a BMS verification routine at startup — cutting power mid-sequence logs a false battery fault that persists until the next clean reboot. Do not press any keys or interrupt the boot screen.
MyLab One not completing boot sequence on a new battery
The MyLab One runs a BMS learn cycle on the first few startups with a new cell. If the pack has not yet completed this cycle, the device may stall at the boot screen or display a battery communication error before reaching the imaging interface. This is not a hardware fault — the BMS is profiling the new cell's charge characteristics against stored OEM thresholds. Run one full charge-to-discharge cycle before clinical use to allow the BMS to calibrate. After that cycle, boot errors from battery mismatch should clear.
Charge indicator not reaching 100% on the first full charge
On the first charge after installation, the MyLab One's charge IC applies a conservative current limit to an unrecognised cell — this is standard behaviour for medical-grade charge management circuits. The indicator may plateau at 95–98% and stop climbing even after hours on charge. This does not mean the pack is faulty or undersized. Complete one full discharge during normal use, then recharge from below 20% — the charge IC recalibrates its end-of-charge threshold and subsequent charges will reach the full 14.8V termination point.

Frequently Asked Questions
The MyLab One is alarming low battery immediately after I took it off a full charge — is the new battery dead already?
It is not dead. The MyLab One's BMS compares incoming cell data against a stored OEM chemistry profile, and a new cell has not yet completed the calibration cycle that satisfies that threshold. The alarm fires because the system has not yet verified the pack — not because charge is actually low. Run one full charge-to-discharge cycle before relying on the battery indicator for clinical work. After that cycle, the BMS recognises the cell and the low-battery alarm clears at normal charge levels.
The MyLab One powers off unexpectedly during a scan — the battery shows more than half charge on the indicator.
The first 10 cycles on a new cell stress the pack harder than subsequent cycles because the BMS has not yet built an accurate capacity map. During active imaging, the ultrasound's load draw can cause a brief voltage sag on an uncalibrated cell that the BMS reads as a low-voltage cutoff event — even when the displayed charge looks fine. This is not a fault with the replacement pack. Complete the BMS learn cycle — three full charge-discharge cycles — before using the system in unsupervised clinical sessions. Voltage sag events during imaging drop significantly once the cell is broken in.
The MyLab One battery sat in storage before installation and now the device will not power on at all.
Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage, and if the pack dropped below the BMS recovery threshold — typically around 10.0–10.5V for a 14.8V 4S pack — the BMS enters a deep-discharge lockout state and the device cannot draw any current from it. Connect the battery to the MyLab One charger and leave it for at least 90 minutes without attempting to power the device on. Most medical-grade chargers run a low-current pre-charge trickle to recover cells below the cutoff threshold. Once the pack climbs back above 12V, the BMS re-enables full output and the device will boot normally.
