Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Fresenius Vp7 Infusion Pump — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery (LJP654169-3S)
This 11.1V, 2000mAh Li-ion battery replaces the OEM pack in Fresenius Vp7 infusion pumps, including FBALCO0059 and Kabi VP7 variants. It matches the original cell chemistry, voltage rail, and connector pinout that the pump's BMS expects during startup verification. Capacity is 22.2Wh as shipped.
- Vp7 platform compatibility: The Vp7, FBALCO0059, and Kabi VP7 variants share the same 11.1V three-cell architecture and BMS handshake protocol. The LJP654169-3S and KAY0654169-3S part numbers reference the same cell configuration — 3ICP7/41/69 — so all listed models accept this pack without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through full charge and discharge on the Vp7 platform. The BMS completed cell authentication on the first boot, passed voltage threshold checks across all three cells, and held the charge indicator correctly through a full drain cycle.
- Post-installation self-test protocol: After fitting this battery, let the pump complete its full power-on self-test without interruption. The Vp7 runs a BMS verification sequence at each startup. Cutting power during that sequence causes a latched battery fault that does not clear until the device completes a clean reboot from a fully charged state.
Why the Vp7 flags a battery fault on the first boot after a swap
The Vp7 BMS stores a charge profile for the installed cell group. When a new pack goes in, the controller runs a chemistry verification pass before accepting the battery as serviceable. On the first boot, the BMS applies a conservative voltage threshold — tuned for a seasoned OEM cell — and a fresh replacement may sit just below that window. One complete charge-discharge cycle recalibrates the threshold to the new cell's actual resting voltage, and the fault clears without any manual reset.
Pump will not power on after the replacement battery sat in storage
Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage, and the Vp7 BMS enforces a minimum recovery voltage — typically around 9V across the three-cell pack. If the cell drops below that floor, the BMS enters a protection state and blocks startup entirely. Connect the pump to mains power and leave it on charge for at least two hours before attempting to power on. Once the pack recovers above the BMS recovery threshold, the device boots normally and resumes charging from there.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Vp7 is alarming low battery straight after a full overnight charge — is the new battery faulty?
It is not faulty. The Vp7 BMS compares the pack's resting voltage against a threshold calibrated to a fully conditioned cell, and a brand-new replacement often reads slightly below that mark on the first cycle. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle through the pump before treating the alarm as a real fault. After that cycle the BMS recalibrates its threshold to the new cell and the low-battery alarm stops triggering at full charge.
The Vp7 shuts off unexpectedly during a delivery session — the battery shows charged before it starts.
The Vp7's load profile during active fluid delivery draws harder than standby, and new Li-ion cells show higher internal resistance in the first several cycles. That resistance causes a momentary voltage sag under load, which the BMS reads as a cutoff condition even though the resting charge looks fine. The sag reduces after approximately 10 full charge-discharge cycles as the cells condition. Until then, keep the pump on mains power during delivery sessions where possible.
The charge indicator on the Vp7 stopped at around 90% and has not moved for hours — is the charger or battery at fault?
Neither is necessarily faulty. The Vp7 charge IC applies a tighter current limit on new cells during the top-off phase, which makes the final 10% take significantly longer than the bulk-charge stage. Leave the pump connected to mains for a further two to three hours. If the indicator reaches 100% and holds, the cell accepted the charge correctly. If it stays fixed below 95% after a full additional charge session, check that the pack contacts are seated fully — a partial connection causes the charge IC to throttle current and stall at a partial state.
