Fits Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 4-1480 and replaces OEM part L15C3PB1.
11.4V, 4550mAh lithium-polymer cell restores full charge cycles to the notebook.
Connector orientation matches original; locking tab seats flush against the battery bay slot.
We bench-tested the BMS on first charge — voltage ramped steady, no early cutoff triggered.
After installation, run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears inaccurate health warnings.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 4-1480 — 11.4V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (L15C3PB1)

This is an 11.4V, 4550mAh lithium-polymer replacement battery for the Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 4-1480, Flex 4-1480 14", Flex 4-1570, and Flex 4-1580 80VE series. It replaces OEM part numbers L15C3PB1, B102297-0004, 5B10K84638, and L15M3PB0. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds charge or causes unexpected shutdowns.

  • Flex 4-1480 / 4-1570 / 4-1580 series compatibility: These models share the same 11.4V three-cell battery rail, identical connector pinout, and the same BMS handshake protocol — one cell fits the full platform without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell on a Flex 4-1480 unit and confirmed the BMS negotiated correctly with the BIOS on first boot. The fuel gauge IC picked up the cell and charge cycling began without error flags.
  • Post-install calibration on the Flex 4: After fitting this battery, run the unit down to hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after swapping cells on Lenovo IdeaPad hardware.

BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after fitting a new cell

The Lenovo BIOS reads health data stored in the battery's EEPROM, not from live cell chemistry. When a new cell is installed, the EEPROM data doesn't match the BIOS's learned discharge profile from the old battery. The system flags this as degraded health even though the cell is new. One full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% rewrites the learn cycle and clears the warning.

Flex 4 shutting down at 20–30% charge shown on screen

This happens when the cell voltage drops sharply under combined CPU and display load before the fuel gauge reaches zero — a voltage cliff caused by a worn or mismatched cell. The OS fuel gauge reads state-of-charge against a discharge curve that no longer matches the cell's actual output. A new cell with the correct chemistry resets the discharge curve the fuel gauge IC tracks against. After two full calibration cycles, shutdowns at 20–30% shown should stop.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Lenovo Flex 4-1480 is showing "0% available (plugged in, charging)" after I put in the replacement battery — what's happening?

The fuel gauge IC on the Flex 4 reads charge state against the old cell's EEPROM profile, so a brand-new cell can show 0% or "unknown" on first boot. This isn't a fault with the battery or the charger. Drain the laptop fully to hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without interruption. After one complete cycle the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell and the percentage reading stabilises.

The system info panel shows the wrong Wh rating — 45Wh instead of 51.87Wh — after installing this battery. Is something wrong?

The Wh figure Windows or Lenovo Vantage displays is pulled from the EEPROM on the cell, which may store the OEM-rated value rather than the actual chemistry capacity of the replacement. This is a data field difference, not a performance issue — the cell still delivers its full 51.87Wh capacity during discharge. Run two full discharge-to-hibernate and charge-to-100% cycles. The BIOS learn cycle updates the reported value as it builds a real discharge profile against the new cell.

Charge is stopping at exactly 80% and won't go higher — is this a faulty battery?

This is almost always the BIOS-controlled charge limit in Lenovo's firmware, not a problem with the cell itself. Lenovo ships many IdeaPad models with Conservation Mode active, which caps charging at 60% or 80% to reduce cell wear during long plugged-in sessions. Open Lenovo Vantage, go to Power, then Battery, and check whether Conservation Mode is switched on. Turn it off and the cell will charge to 100%.
