Fits Lenovo S60, S60-t, S60-w smartphones; replaces OEM battery BL245.
3.8V, 2150mAh Li-Polymer cell restores full charge capacity to aging S60 packs.
Connector slides into original battery slot with single mechanical latch; no adapter needed.
We bench-tested this cell against the stock BL245 discharge curve — BMS accepted voltage regulation without early cutoff on modem load.
On first charge after installation, complete one full discharge-to-shutdown cycle before using fast charging; this recalibrates the fuel gauge IC to the new cell's discharge signature.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Lenovo S60 Series — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BL245)

This is a 3.8V, 2150mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Lenovo S60, S60-t, and S60-w smartphones. It replaces OEM part number BL245 and restores power to phones where the original cell has degraded. Capacity is rated at 8.17Wh.

  • S60, S60-t, and S60-w fit: All three S60 variants share the same battery bay dimensions and BL245 connector pinout. The BMS handshake protocol is identical across the trio, so one cell covers the full model range without hardware modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the S60 charge IC and monitored BMS communication at each charge stage. The protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage cutoff and resumed charge without error after a standard reconnect.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.

Why the S60 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The S60 uses a coulomb counter in its fuel gauge IC that builds a model of the cell's discharge curve over time. When you swap the physical cell, the IC still holds the old cell's calibration data. The percentage readout pulls from that stale model, not the actual charge state of the new cell. One full discharge-to-empty followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% forces the IC to rewrite its reference curve against the new BL245 cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the cell voltage drops sharply under load — screen-on combined with modem activity pulls enough current to cause a voltage cliff before the percentage gauge reaches zero. The BMS reads the voltage drop as a hard cutoff condition and shuts the phone down even though the fuel gauge still shows charge remaining. After the first full calibration cycle, the fuel gauge IC maps the new cell's actual voltage-to-capacity curve and the premature shutdowns stop. If shutdowns persist past two full cycles, check that the replacement cell contacts are seated flat with no gap at the connector.

Frequently Asked Questions

The phone won't turn on at all after the new battery sat in the drawer for a few months — is the cell dead?

Most likely the BMS has locked out because the cell discharged below 2.5V during storage. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 15 to 20 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until it clears the BMS lockout threshold, after which the phone should boot normally. If there is still no response after 30 minutes on a known-good charger, measure voltage at the battery terminals — anything above 2.8V means the BMS has recovered and the fault is elsewhere.

Fast charging stopped working after I fitted the BL245 — the phone only slow-charges now.

On the first charge cycle after a cell swap, the S60's charge IC defaults to standard charging while it negotiates with the new BMS. The USB-PD or proprietary fast-charge handshake requires the IC to confirm cell parameters before it unlocks higher current. Complete one full standard charge to 100%, then unplug and let the phone discharge to below 20% before charging again — fast charging typically re-enables on the second cycle once the IC accepts the new cell profile.

The battery percentage is jumping around erratically — it reads 45%, then jumps to 62%, then drops to 30% within a few minutes.

The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating against the new BL245 discharge curve and its internal model has not yet converged. This is normal for the first one to three cycles after a cell replacement. Run the phone from 100% down to automatic shutdown without interrupting the discharge, then charge it fully in one unbroken session. Repeat this once more if the jumping continues — by the second full cycle the coulomb counter should have a stable reference and the percentage will track accurately.
