Fits Wiko Barry and Barry Dual SIM smartphones; replaces OEM part number BARRY.
3.7V lithium-ion cell rated 2000mAh delivers full power for calls, messaging, and app operation on this compact smartphone.
Connector slides into the original battery slot with standard spring contacts; no adapter needed.
We bench-tested this cell against a worn original — BMS accepted charge on first insertion and discharged evenly across the voltage curve.
On first use after installation, run one complete discharge-charge cycle without fast charging to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against this cell's discharge profile.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Wiko Barry / Barry Dual SIM — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BARRY)

This 3.7V, 2000mAh Li-ion cell replaces the original battery in the Wiko Barry and Barry Dual SIM smartphones. It matches the OEM part number BARRY and fits both single and dual SIM variants of the handset. Dimensions are 70.00 × 59.90 × 4.40mm — verify your original cell before installing.

  • Barry and Barry Dual SIM fit: Both variants run the same 3.7V voltage rail, use the same connector pinout, and share the BARRY part number. The BMS handshake is identical across both — one cell covers both boards.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through a full charge and discharge cycle on the Barry platform. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, charge IC communicated correctly, and the fuel gauge IC tracked state-of-charge through the full curve.
  • First-cycle fast charge protocol: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate its discharge curve against the new cell before high-current charging is applied to an uncalibrated cell.

Why the Barry reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The fuel gauge IC in the Barry stores a learned discharge curve from the original cell. When a new cell goes in, that stored curve no longer matches the actual voltage-to-capacity relationship of the replacement. The phone reads voltage against the old curve and returns an incorrect percentage. One complete discharge down to automatic shutoff, followed by a full charge to 100%, forces the IC to rewrite its reference curve to the new cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the cell voltage drops sharply under load from the modem or display — a voltage cliff the fuel gauge did not predict. The phone's protection circuit trips before the displayed percentage reaches zero. It is not a faulty cell; it is the gauge IC working from a miscalibrated curve. Run one full discharge-charge cycle and the shutoff point will shift — the gauge recalibrates its cliff detection around the new cell's actual voltage floor, typically near 3.4V under load.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Wiko Barry won't turn on at all after sitting in a drawer for months — is the battery dead?

A cell left discharged for an extended period can drop below 2.5V, which triggers BMS lockout — the battery refuses to deliver current until it receives a trickle charge. Connect the phone to a wall charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without attempting to power it on. If the BMS recovers, the charge IC will begin accepting current and the phone will boot normally. If the charging indicator never appears after 45 minutes on a known-good charger, the cell has dropped below the BMS recovery threshold and needs replacement.

Fast charging stopped working after I swapped the battery in my Barry — the phone just charges slowly now.

On the first charge cycle after a cell swap, the BMS on the new cell has not yet negotiated a charging profile with the phone's charge IC. The system defaults to standard 5V charging as a precaution. Complete one full slow charge to 100%, then discharge the phone normally to automatic shutoff. On the next charge cycle, the charge IC and BMS complete their handshake and fast charging resumes at the expected rate.

The battery percentage on my Barry jumps around erratically — it reads 60%, then suddenly 35% a few minutes later.

This is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating after the cell swap — it is reading voltage against a curve built for the original cell, and the mismatch causes erratic percentage jumps. The coulomb counter resets its reference points during a full cycle. Discharge the phone completely until it shuts itself off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without using the device. After that single cycle the gauge IC locks onto the new cell's discharge curve and percentage tracking stabilises.
