Fits LeTV Max 2 and X820 models; replaces OEM battery part number LTH21A.
3.85V nominal voltage and 3100mAh capacity restore full charge cycles on this smartphone platform.
Connector attaches directly to the internal battery socket; orientation is keyed to prevent reverse insertion.
We bench-tested the LTH21A cell on a Max 2 board—BMS accepted the pack on first cycle with no fault codes.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

LeTV Max 2 / X820 — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (LTH21A)

This is a 3.85V, 3100mAh (11.94Wh) Li-Polymer cell built to replace the original LTH21A battery in the LeTV Max 2 and X820 smartphones. It fits the internal battery bay directly and connects to the same flex ribbon harness. Use this when the original cell no longer holds a usable charge or the phone shuts down unexpectedly under load.

  • Max 2 and X820 compatibility: Both the Max 2 and X820 share the same chassis dimensions, connector pinout, and charge IC — which is why they run the same LTH21A cell. The BMS handshake, protection circuitry, and 3.85V nominal rail are identical across both model variants.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge-discharge cycles on the X820 platform and confirmed the BMS accepted the new cell without triggering overcurrent or overvoltage cutoff. The protection circuit held stable across draw spikes from the modem and display.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On the first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve accurately before high-current charging is applied to an uncalibrated cell.

Why the LeTV Max 2 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The fuel gauge IC on the Max 2 uses a coulomb counter that was calibrated to the original cell's discharge curve. When a new cell goes in, those reference points no longer match the actual cell chemistry. The IC keeps reading against the old curve, so the percentage shown on screen drifts from the real state of charge. One full discharge down to automatic shutdown followed by a complete charge cycle resets the counter and re-anchors the calibration to the new cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–25% on the replacement cell

This happens when the modem, display, or both pull a current spike the cell can't sustain at low charge levels — voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold before the percentage reaches zero. It's a voltage-cliff problem, not a capacity problem. The fuel gauge IC hasn't yet learned where this new cell's voltage cliff sits. Run two full discharge-charge cycles without fast charging to let the coulomb counter establish the correct low-voltage floor. After calibration, the shutdown point should drop to below 5%.

Frequently Asked Questions

The LeTV Max 2 won't turn on at all after the new battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is it dead?

Most likely the cell dropped below 2.5V during storage and the BMS locked out to prevent damage. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC needs time to trickle-feed current into the locked-out cell before the BMS will re-initialise and allow normal power-on. If the battery icon appears even briefly, the recovery is working; a full charge cycle will bring it back to normal operation.

Fast charging stopped working on the LeTV Max 2 after I installed the replacement battery — the phone just slow-charges now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC on the Max 2 may not negotiate the proprietary fast-charge protocol with the new BMS until it has completed at least one standard charge cycle. Plug into the original LeTV wall adapter and let it charge fully at the standard rate. On the second charge, fast charging typically resumes — the BMS completes its handshake with the charge IC once it has one full cycle logged.

The battery percentage on my LeTV Max 2 keeps jumping — it'll show 60%, then suddenly drop to 41%, then climb back up.

Erratic percentage jumps are the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against a cell it doesn't have reference data for yet. The coulomb counter is interpolating between old calibration points that no longer match the new cell's actual discharge curve. Run the phone down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without unplugging early. After two complete cycles the IC stabilises its reference map and the percentage readings settle.
