Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Machenike F117-F1K / F117-F1C Series — 10.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (GE5SN-03-12-3S2P-0)
This is a 10.8V, 4400mAh (47.52Wh) Li-ion battery for the Machenike F117 series gaming laptops. It fits the F117-F1K, F117-F1C, F117-F2U, F117-F3K, and over a dozen additional F117 variants. Install it to restore unplugged operation after the original cell has degraded.
- F117 series compatibility: All listed F117 variants share the same 3S2P cell configuration, 10.8V voltage rail, and identical connector and BMS handshake — that is why one part number covers the full range. OEM part GE5SN-03-12-3S2P-0 and NF5V151X-00-03-3S2P-0 are interchangeable across this platform.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and load discharge on the F117 platform. The BMS communicated correctly with the system, charge termination triggered at the appropriate cutoff voltage, and no protection faults were tripped during the test.
- Post-install calibration on the F117: After fitting this battery, run a full discharge until the laptop hibernates, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without interruption. This single learn cycle resets the BIOS battery gauge against the new cell chemistry and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap on this platform.
BIOS reporting battery health as poor immediately after fitting
The F117 BIOS stores battery health data tied to the previous cell's EEPROM profile. When a new cell is installed, the residual data does not clear automatically — the system reads the mismatch and flags it as degraded. This is not a fault with the replacement cell. Running one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by a complete uninterrupted charge gives the fuel gauge IC enough data to recalibrate. After that cycle, the BIOS health indicator will reflect the actual state of the new cell.
Laptop shuts down while the gauge still shows 20–30% remaining
This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet mapped the voltage curve of the new cell. Under combined CPU and display load, voltage sags faster than the uncalibrated gauge predicts — the cell hits the BMS low-voltage cutoff while the display still shows charge remaining. It is not a defective battery. Run two full discharge-to-hibernate and charge-to-100% cycles back to back. After the second cycle, the gauge IC will have enough reference points to track the voltage cliff accurately and the premature shutdowns will stop.

Frequently Asked Questions
My F117 shows the new battery as 0% and won't charge — is the EEPROM from the old cell blocking it?
The BIOS on the F117 series can lock onto stale EEPROM data from the previous cell and misread the new one entirely. Shut down completely, remove the AC adapter, hold the power button for 15 seconds to drain residual charge from the board, then reconnect AC and boot. This forces the fuel gauge IC to reinitialise against the new cell rather than cached data. If the reading is still 0% after one full charge cycle, check the BIOS battery settings for any locked charge limit before assuming a fault.
Windows Battery Report is showing the wrong Wh rating for this cell — is that a problem?
The Wh figure Windows reads comes from the EEPROM embedded in the battery's BMS, which stores the rated chemistry value from the cell manufacturer. Your product data shows 47.52Wh, but the OS may display a slightly different figure if the EEPROM was programmed to a rounded or nominal rating. This does not affect how the battery charges or discharges — it is a reporting difference only. Run a full discharge-to-hibernate cycle and check again; after calibration the reported design capacity will typically align closer to the actual cell rating.
The F117 stops charging at 80% and never goes higher — is that the battery or a firmware limit?
This is almost always a BIOS-controlled charge limit, not a cell fault. Many Machenike F117 units ship with a battery conservation or charge-cap mode enabled in the BIOS or a companion utility. Go into the BIOS power settings or any installed Machenike control software and look for a charge limit or battery health mode — disable it. If no such setting is active, hold the laptop at 100% AC power for 30 minutes and confirm the charger is delivering the correct voltage; a weak adapter can cause the BMS to terminate early at 80%.
