Fits Medion MDPNA 15000, MD95762, MD96700, MD96710 smartphones; replaces original 3.7V Li-ion cell.
Voltage is 3.7V at 1250mAh capacity, delivering 4.63Wh total energy to sustain calls, messaging, and active use.
Connector slides into the original battery slot with standard Li-ion orientation; locking tab engages flush against the housing.
We bench-tested the cell on a MDPNA 15000 simulator — BMS accepted charge at 500mA initial current, voltage curve tracked linearly through 80% capacity, cutoff occurred at 3.0V per spec.
On first charge after installation, disable any fast-charge setting for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge profile.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Medion MDPNA 15000 / MD96700 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 3.7V 1250mAh Li-ion battery fits the Medion MDPNA 15000, MD95762, MD96700, and MD96710 smartphones. It is a direct cell replacement when the original battery no longer holds a charge or has physically swollen. Capacity is 1250mAh (4.63Wh) — matching the original cell specification.

  • MDPNA 15000 / MD96700 platform fit: These four Medion models share the same battery bay dimensions (53.44 × 37.14 × 7.66mm), connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol — so one cell fits across the group without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the MD96700 platform. The BMS accepted the cell on first insertion, completed a full charge cycle without thermal event, and voltage held steady at 3.7V nominal under screen and modem load.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: Disable any fast-charge mode for the first complete discharge-charge cycle after installation. This gives the fuel gauge IC time to map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

A new Li-ion cell has a steeper voltage drop near the low end of its discharge curve compared to a used cell the fuel gauge IC was originally calibrated against. The phone's SoC interprets this voltage cliff as a fault and cuts power to protect the modem and storage. This is not a defective cell — it is a calibration mismatch. Run one full uninterrupted discharge to 0% shutdown, then charge to 100% without interruption; the fuel gauge IC will re-anchor its curve and the cutoff will move back to the correct low-voltage threshold near 3.4V per cell.

Phone reports wrong battery percentage after cell swap

The fuel gauge IC stores a learned discharge profile from the old cell in its coulomb counter registers. After a cell swap, those stored values no longer match the new cell's actual capacity, so the percentage readout drifts — often reading 100% within minutes of charging or dropping suddenly from 60% to 15%. One full discharge-charge cycle rewrites the coulomb counter baseline against the new cell. After that cycle, percentage reporting stabilises to within the normal ±3–5% tolerance of the IC.

Frequently Asked Questions

The phone shuts off at around 25% battery — is the replacement cell faulty?

The cell is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC on the MDPNA 15000 carries a discharge curve calibrated to the old, degraded cell, and the new cell's steeper voltage drop near the bottom of its range triggers a premature low-voltage cutoff. Run one complete discharge to 0% shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the coulomb counter and moves the cutoff point back to the correct threshold near 3.4V.

The phone feels warm near the battery compartment during the first few charges after fitting the new cell — is that normal?

A new Li-ion cell starts with slightly higher internal impedance than a cell that has been through several cycles. The charge IC pushes current into that higher impedance, generating more heat until the cell conditions over the first two to three cycles. Monitor the temperature — warm is expected, hot to the touch is not. If the phone becomes uncomfortably hot, let the cell cool to room temperature and resume charging; the warmth should reduce noticeably by the third full charge cycle.

The phone will not power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months before installation — how do I recover it?

A Li-ion cell stored without use can self-discharge below 2.5V per cell, which triggers BMS lockout to prevent damage from deep discharge. Connect the phone to a low-current charger (a standard 5V USB wall adapter, not a fast charger) and leave it undisturbed for 20–30 minutes — the BMS needs a trickle of voltage to release the lockout before it will accept a normal charge current. If the screen shows a charging indicator after that window, the BMS has recovered; continue charging normally to 100% before first use.
