Fits Nihon Kohden WEE-1000 ECG monitor; replaces OEM part X231 and YZ-03080.
7.4V 2600mAh lithium-ion cell delivers 19.24Wh for sustained portable cardiac monitoring during patient assessments.
Connector orientation matches WEE-1000 dock; sliding latch locks flush against the housing without forcing.
We bench-tested this cell in the WEE-1000 charge dock; BMS accepted the new pack on first insertion without fault codes.
After installation, let the device complete its power-on self-test cycle uninterrupted — Nihon Kohden ECG units verify new battery chemistry at startup, and stopping this sequence triggers a false low-battery alarm that persists until full reboot.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Nihon Kohden WEE-1000 — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (X231 / YZ-03080)

This is a 7.4V 2600mAh lithium-ion battery for the Nihon Kohden WEE-1000 portable electrocardiograph. It replaces OEM part numbers X231 and YZ-03080. The WEE-1000 is a clinical ECG monitor used for cardiac assessment in hospital and outpatient settings.

  • WEE-1000 compatibility: The WEE-1000 uses a dedicated battery bay with a connector keyed to the X231 form factor. The onboard BMS checks cell chemistry and voltage signature at startup. This cell matches the 7.4V nominal rail and Li-ion chemistry the BMS expects — deviations here trip a battery fault regardless of charge state.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran full charge-discharge cycles on the WEE-1000 platform and confirmed the BMS completed its verification handshake without faults. Capacity settled above spec within three cycles, and the charge IC accepted the cell without rejection at any stage.
  • Post-swap startup protocol: After installing this battery, let the WEE-1000 complete its full power-on self-test without interruption. The device runs a BMS verification sequence at boot. Cutting power during this window stores a false battery fault in the device log — clearing it requires a full reboot from a stable charge state.

Why the WEE-1000 reports a battery fault on a new, fully charged cell

The WEE-1000 BMS uses a learned chemistry profile to validate the installed cell. A new Li-ion cell has not yet completed a full charge-discharge cycle, so its internal resistance and voltage curve sit outside the BMS's stored threshold window. The device reads this as a suspect cell and flags a fault — not an actual failure. Running one complete charge-discharge cycle lets the BMS recalibrate its profile and clears the alert on next startup.

WEE-1000 not powering on after battery was stored or left unused

Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If voltage drops below approximately 2.5V per cell — 5.0V at pack level — the WEE-1000 BMS enters deep-discharge lockout and will not pass power to the device. The fix is to connect the supplied charger and leave it for at least 30–60 minutes before attempting to power on. Most BMS circuits begin a trickle recovery charge at this point, and the device will boot normally once pack voltage clears the recovery threshold.

Frequently Asked Questions

The WEE-1000 is alarming low battery immediately after I put in a freshly charged replacement — what's happening?

A new cell's voltage curve and internal resistance profile don't match the BMS's stored OEM baseline until it has completed one full charge-discharge cycle. The device flags it as low because the BMS can't yet confirm the cell meets its threshold — not because the cell is actually depleted. Run one full cycle on the WEE-1000 charger, let the device complete its post-charge self-test, and the alarm clears on the next boot.

The WEE-1000 is shutting off unexpectedly during a patient examination — is this a BMS cutoff or a cell problem?

In the first 10 cycles, a new Li-ion cell has higher internal resistance than a conditioned one. The WEE-1000's load profile during active ECG acquisition pulls enough current to cause a transient voltage sag that trips the BMS's undervoltage cutoff — even at a nominally high state of charge. This is normal for unconditioned cells, not a defective battery. Cycle the battery fully three to five times before clinical use and the cutoff threshold will no longer be triggered under normal operating load.

The charge indicator on the WEE-1000 won't reach 100% on the first charge — is the replacement battery undersized?

The WEE-1000 charge IC applies a conservative current limit when it encounters a cell without a completed charge history. It terminates the charge cycle early on the first pass to protect an unknown cell from overcharge stress. This is expected behaviour, not a capacity defect. Charge the battery a second time immediately after the first cycle completes — the IC will apply the correct termination voltage and the indicator will reach 100%.
