Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Orange Klif — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (TLi013BB)
This is a 3.7V, 1300mAh (4.81Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the Orange Klif smartphone. It fits the Klif directly, matching the original cell's voltage rail and form factor. OEM part numbers TLi013BB and TLi013B2 both apply to this device.
- Orange Klif compatibility: The Klif uses a compact 64.38 × 49.95 × 4.30mm cell with a low-capacity 1300mAh rating — standard for an entry-level voice and messaging handset where the charge IC is tuned to a narrow voltage window. Swapping outside that spec causes BMS rejection or incorrect gauge readings.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Klif platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, and the charge IC stepped through its constant-current and constant-voltage phases cleanly.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: On first use after installation, run one full discharge down to automatic cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% before using the phone. The Klif's fuel gauge IC reads the new cell's discharge curve during this cycle — skipping it causes erratic percentage jumps for the first several days.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Orange Klif after a cell swap
The Klif's charge IC uses a stored discharge curve from the original cell to predict remaining voltage under load. A new cell has a slightly different voltage-versus-capacity slope, so the fuel gauge miscalculates the cutoff point. Under modem or screen load, the actual cell voltage drops below the hardware cutoff threshold before the OS expects it — the phone shuts off with charge still showing on screen. One full discharge-to-cutoff cycle followed by a complete uninterrupted charge corrects the stored curve. After that cycle, the 20–30% shutdowns stop.
Orange Klif showing wrong battery percentage after replacement
The Klif stores coulomb-counter calibration data tied to the original cell's internal resistance profile. When the cell is replaced, that stored data no longer matches the new cell's actual discharge behaviour. The result is a percentage readout that jumps, stalls, or sits frozen at values like 47% or 83% for extended periods. Let the phone discharge fully until it powers off on its own, then charge it to 100% in one sitting — this resets the coulomb counter against the new cell and restores accurate percentage reporting.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Orange Klif powers off at around 25% after fitting the new battery — is the cell faulty?
The cell is not faulty. The Klif's fuel gauge IC is still reading the discharge curve it mapped to the old cell, so it misreads the voltage cliff on the new one and triggers a hardware shutdown before the OS catches it. Run the phone down to automatic power-off, then charge it fully without interruption. That single full cycle recalibrates the fuel gauge against the new cell, and the early shutdowns stop.
The Orange Klif won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — what happened?
Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage, and if this cell dropped below approximately 2.5V, the BMS entered lockout mode to prevent damage — the phone won't power on because the BMS is blocking current flow entirely. Connect the Klif to a wall charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS recovery threshold, after which the phone will boot normally.
The battery percentage on my Orange Klif jumps around erratically — it went from 60% to 34% in two minutes without me doing anything.
This is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against the new cell's discharge profile after the swap. The stored reference data from the old cell no longer matches, so the coulomb counter is correcting itself in visible steps rather than smoothly. Let the phone discharge to automatic cutoff, then charge it to 100% in a single session without unplugging early. After that cycle the percentage display stabilises — the erratic jumps are a calibration issue, not a cell defect.
