Pharos PTL600 / PTL600E — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (PZX33)

This is a 3.7V, 3000mAh Li-Polymer cell for the Pharos PTL600 and PTL600E smartphones. It replaces OEM part PZX33 when the original cell no longer holds a usable charge or has swollen. Capacity figure is 11.1Wh at nominal voltage.

• PTL600 and PTL600E compatibility: Both variants share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — a single cell revision covers both. The PZX33 part number is consistent across both model suffixes.
• Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled the cell through a full discharge and charge sequence on a PTL600 unit, confirmed BMS communication across all three pins, and verified the charge IC accepted the cell without a fault flag on the first cycle.
• Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's actual discharge curve before any high-current session runs against an uncalibrated baseline.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the PTL600 after a cell swap

The PTL600's modem and display together draw a burst current the new cell must sustain at low state-of-charge. If the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old, degraded cell curve, it misreads remaining capacity. The phone hits the hardware voltage floor — around 3.2V under load — before the OS percentage reaches zero. One full slow-rate discharge cycle resets the coulomb counter and eliminates most premature shutdowns.

PTL600 not powering on after the replacement cell sat in storage

Li-Polymer cells self-discharge during storage. If the cell drops below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS enters lockout to prevent damage — the phone will not respond to the power button or a standard charger. Connect to a USB charger and leave it untouched for 20–30 minutes; the charge IC applies a trickle pre-charge that slowly recovers cell voltage above the BMS re-enable threshold. Once the cell reaches roughly 3.0V, the BMS releases and normal charging resumes.
