Fits Kyocera SE47, SE44, V5 Slider phones; replaces OEM part number TXBAT10020 and TXBAT10035.
3.7V, 950mAh lithium-ion cell delivers 3.52Wh to restore full operating time on aged or failed original packs.
Connector seats flat into the battery slot with standard contact alignment; locking tab secures the cell during installation.
We cycled this cell through full discharge and recharge on a SE47 test unit; the BMS accepted the new cell without fault codes or voltage regulation drift.
On first use after installation, disable any fast-charge setting for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Kyocera SE47 / SE44 / V5 Slider — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (TXBAT10020)

This is a 3.7V, 950mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Kyocera SE47, SE44, and V5 Slider smartphones. It replaces OEM part numbers TXBAT10020 and TXBAT10035. Fits the original battery bay without modification.

  • SE47, SE44, and V5 Slider compatibility: These three models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers all three. The 3.7V nominal voltage rail matches what each device's charge IC expects.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the SE47 platform and confirmed the BMS communicated cleanly with the device charge IC, with no false low-battery shutdowns during the test sequence.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's actual discharge curve before fast charge pushes higher current into an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on a freshly installed cell

The Kyocera SE47 uses a fuel gauge IC that was calibrated to the discharge curve of the original aged cell. A new cell holds voltage higher for longer, then drops off at a steeper cliff under modem or screen load. The gauge misreads that cliff as 20–30% remaining and the phone shuts off before the percentage hits zero. One full discharge-charge cycle at standard rate resets the coulomb counter and resolves this within two to three cycles. After recalibration, the percentage readout tracks the actual cell state correctly down to the low-voltage cutoff near 3.0V.

Phone stays on the Kyocera boot screen and will not reach the home screen after battery swap

If the replacement cell shipped or sat in storage below 2.5V per cell, the BMS enters lockout mode and cannot supply enough current to complete the boot sequence. The phone draws a surge during modem initialisation that the locked BMS cannot deliver. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 20 minutes before attempting to power on. A wall adapter delivers enough trickle current to bring the cell above the BMS recovery threshold of approximately 2.7V, at which point the protection circuit re-engages and the phone will boot normally.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Kyocera SE47 shows 25% battery and then just cuts off — is the new battery faulty?

The cell is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC on the SE47 was calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, and a fresh cell drops voltage faster under modem load than the gauge expects — so it calls a shutdown before the counter reaches zero. Run one full discharge down to auto-off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% at standard rate. After one or two cycles the coulomb counter resets and the percentage tracks correctly.

Fast charging stopped working the first time I plugged in after fitting the replacement battery — what happened?

On the first charge cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC on the SE47 sometimes defaults to standard rate until it receives a confirmation handshake from the new BMS. This is normal behaviour. Let the phone complete one full charge at standard rate, unplug, allow it to discharge at least 30%, then reconnect — the fast charge protocol should re-negotiate correctly on that second session.

The phone feels warm near the battery while charging with the new cell installed — is that normal?

A new high-impedance cell generates more heat during the initial charge cycles than a broken-in cell does. The SE47 charge IC is pushing current into a cell that has not yet settled its internal resistance. The warmth should reduce noticeably after three to four full cycles. If the phone remains hot to the touch beyond cycle four, check that the charge IC is not stuck at fast-charge rate into an uncalibrated cell — disabling fast charge for one more full cycle will confirm whether the heat drops.
