Fits Sendo M500, M525, M550, M551 and replaces OEM part number 8D48-0MA10-22010.
3.7V, 680mAh cell delivers 2.52Wh — standard capacity for early 2000s smartphone operation.
Connector seats flat into the battery slot with no locking tab; orientation marked on housing.
We bench-tested the BMS on a Sendo M500 platform; voltage held steady under modem load, no cutoff anomalies.
After installation, run one complete discharge-charge cycle with fast charging disabled to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against this cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Sendo M500 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (8D48-0MA10-22010)

This is a 3.7V, 680mAh Li-ion battery for the Sendo M500, M525, M550, and M551 smartphones. It replaces OEM part number 8D48-0MA10-22010. The cell slots into the original battery bay and connects to the phone's charge circuit without modification.

  • M500 series fit: The M500, M525, M550, and M551 share the same battery bay dimensions and connector pinout, which is why one part number covers all four. The BMS communicates charge state over the same two-wire interface across each variant.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the bench and confirmed the BMS accepted charge handshake correctly. Charge termination triggered at the expected voltage ceiling with no false cutoff events.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting this battery, disable any fast-charge adapter and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle before resuming normal use. This allows the fuel gauge IC to build an accurate discharge curve against the new cell before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated state-of-charge map.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Sendo M500

This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity fault. Under peak modem or screen load, the cell voltage drops faster than the fuel gauge IC predicts, crossing the low-voltage cutoff threshold before the displayed percentage reaches zero. The phone shuts off to protect the cell. One full discharge-charge cycle recalibrates the coulomb counter and narrows the gap between the displayed percentage and actual cell voltage.

Phone won't power on after the battery sat discharged in storage

If a Li-ion cell drops below roughly 2.5V per cell during extended storage, the BMS enters lockout to prevent unsafe charging of a deeply discharged cell. The phone will not respond to the power button or show any charge indicator at first. Leave the phone connected to a low-current charger for 20–30 minutes — the BMS recovery circuit will trickle current into the cell until voltage rises above the lockout threshold, at which point normal charging resumes. Confirm recovery by watching for the charge indicator to appear, typically once the cell reaches 3.0V.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Sendo M500 shows 25% battery and then just cuts off — is the new cell faulty?

It is not a faulty cell. This is a voltage cliff: under modem or display load, the cell voltage drops sharply and hits the BMS low-voltage cutoff before the percentage display reaches zero. The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. Run one complete discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge fully without interruption — the coulomb counter will recalibrate to the new cell and the early shutdowns will stop.

After fitting the replacement battery, the percentage on my M500 keeps jumping around — 60%, then 45%, then 55%

Erratic percentage readings mean the fuel gauge IC has not yet mapped the new cell's discharge curve. It is pulling from a calibration table built on the old, degraded cell, so voltage readings translate to wrong capacity estimates. This settles after one or two full discharge-charge cycles with no interruptions. Once the IC has logged a complete cycle, percentage readings stabilise and track accurately against actual remaining capacity.

My M500 won't switch on at all after the replacement battery was stored in the phone for a few months unused

Extended storage at low charge drains a Li-ion cell below 2.5V, which triggers BMS lockout — the protection circuit blocks charging to prevent damage to an over-discharged cell. Plug the phone into a low-current charger and leave it connected for at least 20 minutes without pressing any buttons. The BMS trickle-charges the cell until voltage climbs back above 3.0V, at which point the lockout releases and the charge indicator will appear on screen.
