My Trilogy 100 Breathe keeps alarming low battery right after I installed a fully charged replacement — what's wrong?

The Trilogy's BMS sets its alarm threshold based on the internal resistance it expects from the OEM cell. A fresh replacement cell reads differently on the first few cycles, so the BMS flags it as low even when it's fully charged. This is a calibration issue, not a fault with the battery. Run one full charge-discharge cycle — charge to 100%, let the device run on battery until it cuts off, then recharge fully — and the alarm clears.

The Trilogy 100 Breathe shut down mid-use about an hour into a therapy session, but the battery showed charged before the session started — why?

New cells haven't been conditioned to the Trilogy's load profile yet. Ventilators draw higher current during pressure delivery cycles than during standby, and in the first 5–10 cycles, a new cell's voltage can sag enough under that load to trip the BMS under-voltage cutoff even when the resting charge appears normal. The fix is to complete several full charge-discharge cycles before relying on the pack for unsupervised therapy. After conditioning, the BMS will accurately track remaining capacity under the device's actual load.

The charge indicator on my Trilogy 100 Breathe stopped at around 95% and hasn't moved in hours — is the battery faulty?

The Trilogy's charge IC applies a conservative current taper on the first charge of a new cell, which causes it to hold below 100% longer than expected while it completes absorption-phase charging. This is normal behaviour and not a sign of a defective pack. Leave the device on mains power connected to the battery for a further 2–3 hours without interrupting the charge cycle. If the indicator still does not reach 100% after a full second charge attempt from near-empty, check that the mains adaptor is delivering the correct 19V output.
