Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Retevis H777 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This is a 3.7V, 900mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Retevis H777 UHF two-way radio. It fits the compact H777 handset used in commercial, security, and recreational short-range comms. Swap it in when the original pack no longer holds a charge through a full shift.
- H777 platform fit: The H777 uses a fixed-footprint battery bay with a three-point contact strip. This pack matches that contact layout and the 3.7V nominal rail the radio's TX circuitry expects. No contact bending or adapter needed.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack in an H777 handset and cycled PTT under sustained transmit loads. The BMS held the output rail steady across repeated keying bursts and released cleanly after each transmission without triggering overcurrent lockout.
- First insertion into the charger dock: If the dock LED shows a fault on first insertion, remove the pack and wipe the gold contact strip with a dry cloth before reseating. New cells ship at storage voltage — the dock needs a clean contact cycle to accept the BMS handshake and begin charging.
Why the H777 cuts out mid-transmission on a new battery
The H777 draws a sharp current spike the moment PTT is pressed as the RF output stage ramps up. If the battery contacts have any surface oxidation or debris, voltage at the radio's power rail drops below the TX threshold for a split second — long enough for the radio to cut the transmission. This is not a faulty cell. Clean both the battery contacts and the radio's contact pins with a dry cloth, then reseat the pack firmly. A solid mechanical connection eliminates the transient voltage drop that causes the cutout.
H777 bar indicator shows one bar on a fully charged new pack
New Li-ion cells ship at approximately 3.6–3.7V storage voltage, not the 4.1–4.2V they reach after a full charge cycle. The H777's voltage-threshold bar indicator reads that storage voltage as a low charge state — one bar is expected at this point, not a sign the pack is defective. Place the battery in the charger and run a complete charge cycle before judging capacity. After a full charge, the indicator should advance to its maximum bar reading.

Frequently Asked Questions
My H777 drops to a noticeably weaker signal partway through a long transmission — is the new battery causing this?
Yes, this is voltage sag under sustained RF output. When the H777 transmits continuously for several seconds, current draw stays elevated and cell voltage dips temporarily — the radio's TX power control responds by reducing output to stay within the operating window. It is not a faulty cell; it is normal Li-ion behaviour under load. Keep transmissions to standard push-to-talk bursts rather than holding the key open for extended periods, and the sag stays within spec.
The charger dock LED has been blinking for over an hour and never switches to a solid charge light — what is happening?
A new pack that has been in storage for several months can arrive below the voltage floor the dock uses to accept a charge. The dock detects the low cell voltage and either blinks or refuses to enter fast-charge mode. Remove the pack, wait two minutes, and reinsert it firmly — some Retevis docks require a fresh contact cycle to re-attempt acceptance. If the fault persists, check that the gold contact strip on the battery is making full contact with all three dock pins; a misaligned seat is the most common hardware cause.
After sitting unused for a few weeks, my H777 won't power on even though the battery was fully charged before storage — how do I recover it?
Li-ion cells self-discharge slowly during storage, and if the H777 was left with the battery inserted, the radio's standby current accelerates that drain. If the cell has dropped below roughly 3.0V, the BMS may have entered a protection lockout to prevent deep-discharge damage. Place the battery in the charger and leave it for at least 90 minutes without interruption — most docks apply a low-current pre-charge trickle below 3.0V to bring the cell back above the recovery threshold before switching to normal charge rate. Once the dock shows a steady charge LED, allow a full cycle before testing the radio.
