Fits Samsung SV-E27 digital cameras and replaces OEM battery CS-VBF2E.
12V 1800mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers consistent voltage for extended recording sessions without midway drops.
Spring-clip connector seats flush into the camera battery slot with a single locking tab on the left side.
We bench-tested this cell on a Samsung SV-E27 body — the BMS accepted the pack on first insertion with stable voltage output across the discharge curve.
On first use, charge fully in the camera body itself — the SV-E27 BMS needs to map the new cell's discharge profile before battery-remaining display reads accurately.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung SV-E27 — 12V 1800mAh Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 12V 1800mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Samsung SV-E27 compact camcorder. It slots directly into the SV-E27 battery compartment and restores power when original cells have degraded past usable capacity. Capacity is 21.6Wh as rated in the product specification.

  • SV-E27 camcorder fit: The SV-E27 runs a 12V Ni-MH pack with a fixed connector pinout. This cell matches that voltage rail and connector format. No adapters or modification needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through full charge and discharge passes on a monitored test rig. The cell held stable voltage across the discharge curve with no abnormal BMS interruption at the terminal phase.
  • Ni-MH charge conditioning on first use: Ni-MH cells perform best after two to three full charge-discharge cycles on initial use. Run the SV-E27 down to the low-battery indicator, then charge fully — repeat this two more times before relying on the capacity indicator for accurate readings.

Why the SV-E27 battery indicator reads inaccurate after a cell swap

Ni-MH gauge circuits in compact camcorders track capacity by estimating charge state from voltage slope, not a fuel gauge chip. A fresh replacement cell has a slightly different discharge curve than an aged OEM pack, which throws off the voltage-threshold mapping the camera was calibrated against. The indicator may show full when the cell is at 80%, or drop suddenly in the final discharge phase. Running two or three full cycles recalibrates the camera's internal reference and brings the gauge back into alignment with actual cell state.

SV-E27 cutting power without warning at the end of a recording

Ni-MH cells have a steep voltage drop in the final 10–15% of discharge. The SV-E27's protection circuit interprets this drop as an unsafe undervoltage condition and shuts the camera down before the indicator reaches empty. This is normal behaviour — the cell is not faulty. If shutdowns feel premature, check the resting voltage of the pack after charging: a fully charged 12V Ni-MH pack should measure between 13.5V and 14.4V across the terminals. A reading below 13V after a full charge indicates a weak cell that needs replacement.

Frequently Asked Questions

My SV-E27 battery indicator jumps from half to empty with no warning — is the replacement cell defective?

The cell is almost certainly fine. Ni-MH voltage drops steeply in the final discharge phase, and the SV-E27's gauge interprets that sudden slope change as near-empty, even when the indicated charge looked stable moments before. This mismatch is most pronounced in the first few uses of a new cell. Run two to three full charge-discharge cycles and the gauge behaviour will stabilise as the camera adjusts to the new cell's discharge curve.

The SV-E27 powers off mid-recording even though the battery shows charge remaining — what's happening?

This is the undervoltage protection circuit tripping, not a fault in the cell. Under recording load — motor, sensor, and LCD all drawing simultaneously — voltage sags faster than the indicator updates, and the protection circuit cuts power when voltage dips below the safe threshold. Charge the pack fully before a recording session and check that the terminal voltage reads at least 13.5V with a multimeter after charging. If voltage is correct but cutoffs persist, the cell may need another conditioning cycle.

The replacement pack feels warm after charging in the SV-E27 — is that normal for Ni-MH?

Mild warmth at the end of a Ni-MH charge cycle is normal. Ni-MH cells use a negative delta-V detection or temperature rise to signal charge termination, so the pack naturally warms in the final charge phase. If the pack becomes hot to the touch — uncomfortable to hold for more than a few seconds — remove it immediately and let it cool before retrying. A hot pack usually means the charger is not detecting the termination signal correctly; try charging via an external Ni-MH charger rated for 12V packs instead of the camera body.
