Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Sony Xperia XA / F3116 — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (GB-S10-385871-010H)
This 3.8V, 2300mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the original battery in the Sony Xperia XA, Xperia XA LTE, F3116, and F3115. It suits owners whose original cell can no longer sustain adequate charge capacity after years of cycling. Capacity figure is 8.74Wh at 3.8V nominal.
- Xperia XA / F3116 platform fit: The F3116, F3115, and Xperia XA LTE variants all draw from the same 3.8V power rail and use the same connector pinout and BMS handshake as the base Xperia XA. One cell covers the full range.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on an Xperia XA unit. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, charge current ramped to CC phase normally, and the fuel gauge IC began tracking state-of-charge without intervention.
- Fuel gauge recalibration after cell swap: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and complete one full discharge-to-charge cycle before re-enabling it. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated state.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% after fitting the replacement cell
The Xperia XA's fuel gauge IC retains the discharge curve of the old cell after a swap. When the new cell hits a voltage point the IC doesn't yet recognise as low, the phone interprets a normal load spike — modem transmission, screen wake — as a critical voltage drop and shuts down. The percentage shown at cutoff is meaningless until recalibration completes. Run two full discharge-charge cycles without fast charge enabled; by the third cycle the IC tracks the new curve accurately and shutdowns stop.
Phone warm near the battery during the first few charges
A new Li-Polymer cell has higher internal impedance than a well-cycled cell. The charge IC on the Xperia XA compensates by pushing slightly higher voltage during the CC phase, which generates more heat across the cell's internal resistance. This is normal for the first three to five cycles as impedance drops with conditioning. If the phone becomes hot to the touch — not just warm — or the charge IC throws an error in the battery stats menu, stop charging and check that the replacement cell's thickness (3.60mm) matches the bay clearance; pressure on the cell raises impedance and heat further.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Xperia XA keeps shutting off around 25% after I put in the new battery — what's causing it?
The fuel gauge IC on the Xperia XA is still calibrated to your old cell's voltage-capacity curve, not the new one. When the replacement cell's voltage dips under modem or screen load, the IC reads it as a critical drop and forces shutdown — even though actual capacity remains. Complete two full discharge-charge cycles with fast charging disabled. By the third cycle the IC recalibrates to the new curve and the early shutdowns stop.
The battery percentage is jumping around erratically — 60% one minute, then 45% seconds later. Is the cell faulty?
Not necessarily. The coulomb counter in the Xperia XA loses its reference point when the cell is swapped. Without a mapped discharge curve for the new cell, it guesses state-of-charge based on instantaneous voltage, which fluctuates under load. Run one complete discharge from 100% down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. That single full cycle gives the fuel gauge IC enough data points to track charge level accurately.
Fast charging stopped working after I replaced the battery — the phone charges slowly now even with the original charger.
On the first charge cycle after a cell swap, the Xperia XA's charge IC defaults to a conservative constant-current rate until it has confirmed the new cell's response profile. This is a BMS protection behaviour, not a fault. Charge the phone fully once on the slow rate, then disconnect and reconnect your charger — the IC re-evaluates the cell and typically re-enables the standard charge rate. If it doesn't restore after two full cycles, confirm the replacement cell voltage reads at least 3.6V at rest before connecting the charger.
