It powers the door controller's backup circuit, allowing the door to complete full open and close cycles when mains power drops. OEM part number 51526 — also cross-references 106863, T01013, and DCU1.

  • Slimline, ECdrive & Powerdrive compatibility: These door operators share the same 24V backup battery rail, connector format, and BMS handshake. Swapping between units in the same product family does not require any controller reconfiguration.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through mains-fail simulations on the ECdrive controller. The BMS held charge delivery stable through repeated full door cycles and returned a clean handshake on reconnection.

The door moves noticeably slower when running on backup power — is something wrong with the new battery?

Slower door movement on backup is normal controller behaviour, not a battery defect. GEZE door operators reduce motor speed when running on the backup battery to lower current draw and extend the number of cycles available before the battery depletes. If the door is completing full open and close cycles at reduced speed, the battery and controller are functioning correctly. If the door stalls or reverses before reaching the end stop, check that the battery has had a full 24-hour charge after fitting.
