Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Audioline Baby Care V100 — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (GP100AAAHC3BMJ)

This is a 3.6V, 900mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Audioline Baby Care V100 baby monitor parent unit. It fits the portable handheld unit that parents carry while the camera unit stays at the crib. The OEM part number is GP100AAAHC3BMJ, and it also covers the G10221GC001474 variant of this monitor.

  • Baby Care V100 parent unit fit: Both the V100 and G10221GC001474 share the same parent unit housing, connector, and 3.6V three-cell Ni-MH battery configuration. One battery covers both.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through charge and discharge on the V100 parent unit. The BMS accepted the cell pack without fault flags, and the unit held a stable display and wireless link throughout the test cycle.
  • Re-pair after fitting: After fitting a new battery, re-pair the parent unit with the camera unit. The V100 loses its wireless link when the parent unit drops to zero voltage — it does not automatically reconnect on power-up.

Parent unit not connecting to camera unit after battery swap

When the parent unit fully loses power, the V100 clears its paired device memory. A new battery alone will not restore the wireless link. You need to go through the manual re-pair process — hold the link button on the camera unit, then initiate search on the parent unit. The pair completes when the live feed appears on the parent screen.

Night vision not working after battery replacement

The infrared LEDs on the V100 camera unit draw more current than visible-light operation and require the parent unit to hold a stable voltage above a minimum threshold to maintain the wireless link. If night vision drops out or the feed goes black after a battery swap, the new battery likely has not completed its first full charge. Charge the parent unit to 100% before testing in a dark room. If the issue persists after a full charge, check that the camera unit is within 5 metres during the initial night-vision session.

Frequently Asked Questions

The parent unit screen keeps turning on overnight and the battery is dead by morning — is there a fix?

The V100 screen staying on through the night is the single biggest cause of rapid battery drain. Go into the parent unit menu and enable the screen timeout or VOX mode — VOX activates the screen only when sound is detected, cutting sustained display draw significantly. With screen timeout active, the unit switches to audio-only standby between alerts. This alone is enough to get the battery through an overnight session on a full charge.

The wireless range on the parent unit is much shorter than it was with the original battery — why?

The V100's radio transmitter output is voltage-sensitive. A partially charged Ni-MH cell delivers lower voltage than a full one, which directly reduces the radio's effective range. This is not a fault with the battery — it is normal Ni-MH behaviour under partial charge. Charge the parent unit fully before use and retest range; a fully charged 3.6V pack restores the transmitter to its rated output.

The parent unit charges for hours but the battery indicator never reaches full — what is happening?

Ni-MH cells that have been fully depleted can show a false low-charge state because the battery management circuit does not register the initial charge current correctly. Leave the parent unit on charge for a full uninterrupted cycle of at least 8 hours. If the indicator still does not reach full after that, discharge the unit completely by leaving it on with the screen active, then charge again from zero — this resets the charge tracking in most V100 units.
