Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Philips AVENT SCD600 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (1ICP06/35/54)

This is a 3.7V 1050mAh Li-ion battery for the parent unit of the Philips AVENT SCD600 baby monitor. It fits the SCD600, SCD600/00, SCD600/10, and SCD610 models. When the original cell degrades and the parent unit stops holding charge between charges, this is the direct swap.

  • SCD600 and SCD610 parent unit fit: Both models share the same parent unit housing, battery bay dimensions, and 3.7V power rail. The connector pinout and BMS communication protocol are identical across the SCD600/00, SCD600/10, and SCD610 variants, so one cell covers the full range.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through a full charge cycle on the SCD600 parent unit. The BMS accepted the charge without fault flags, voltage stabilised at 4.18V at top of charge, and the unit powered on cleanly with display and audio active.
  • Wireless re-pair after battery swap: The SCD600 parent unit loses its link to the camera unit when power drops completely during a battery change. After fitting this cell, charge the parent unit before powering it on, then run the pairing sequence — hold the link button on both units until the connection LED confirms.

Parent unit not connecting to camera unit after battery swap

The SCD600 stores its wireless pairing data in volatile memory backed by the battery. When the cell is fully removed, that memory clears — the parent unit forgets the camera entirely. This is not a fault with the new battery. Power on both units, navigate to the pairing menu on the parent unit, and hold the sync button on the camera until the connection icon appears on screen.

Night vision drops out shortly after the parent unit powers on

The IR LEDs in the camera unit draw a higher current than the standard video feed. If the parent unit battery is not fully charged after fitting, voltage sag under load can push the unit into a low-power state that reduces IR output. The symptom looks like a camera fault but it is a voltage issue on the parent side. Charge the parent unit to 4.2V before first use — do not run it off the charger until the charge indicator shows full.

Frequently Asked Questions

The parent unit screen turns on overnight and drains the battery by morning — is the new battery faulty?

The battery is not faulty. The SCD600 parent unit screen stays active if the screen timeout is not set, and sustained screen-on draw overnight will drain a 1050mAh cell before dawn regardless of battery condition. Go to the parent unit menu, find Display or Screen settings, and set the backlight timeout to the shortest available interval — typically 30 or 60 seconds.

The range on the parent unit seems shorter after I swapped the battery — it cuts out further from the nursery than before.

The SCD600 radio transmitter output is voltage-sensitive. A partially charged cell delivers lower voltage to the radio stage, which reduces effective range. This is normal immediately after fitting a new battery. Charge the parent unit fully before judging range — at 4.2V the radio operates at full power and range returns to the original specification.

The parent unit shows a charging icon but the battery percentage does not increase after several hours.

This usually means the new cell's BMS has not completed its first initialisation cycle. Connect the parent unit to the original Philips charger — third-party chargers can supply the wrong charge current and stall the BMS handshake. Leave it connected for a full uninterrupted charge. If the percentage still does not move after four hours on the correct charger, disconnect, power off completely, then reconnect — this resets the charge controller.
