Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Casio DT-X7 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (HA-F20BAT / HA-F21LBAT)
This 3.7V, 1100mAh Li-ion cell replaces the OEM battery in the Casio DT-X7 mobile barcode scanner. It fits the DT-X7, DT-X7M10E, DT-X7M10R, DT-X7M30E, and related variants. Cell dimensions are 55.29 × 35.73 × 13.81mm — matching the original housing slot exactly.
- DT-X7 series compatibility: The DT-X7 family shares a common battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS handshake across its retail and logistics variants. A single cell format covers the full range without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through repeated scan-trigger and wireless radio load events. The BMS held protection thresholds correctly across charge, discharge, and reconnect events with no false trips or communication faults.
- First-shift preparation: After installing, seat the scanner in its charging cradle and run a full charge cycle before use. The scan trigger draws the highest inrush current when the cell sits near minimum voltage — a fully charged pack prevents spurious BMS cutoffs during the first pick-and-pack shift.
Cradle showing a charging error on a new pack
Charging errors on a new cell are almost always a contact issue, not a cell fault. The DT-X7 cradle uses spring-loaded dock contacts that collect dust and oxidation in warehouse environments. Resistance across dirty contacts confuses the cradle's charge controller, which logs the fault instead of starting the charge cycle. Wipe the gold contacts on the battery and the cradle dock with a dry cloth, reseat the pack firmly, and the error clears in most cases.
Scanner drops wireless connection during rapid scan bursts
The DT-X7 runs its wireless radio and scan trigger simultaneously during fast barcode capture. Each scan trigger event pulls a short inrush current on top of the sustained radio polling load. If the cell voltage sags below roughly 3.2V under this combined draw, the radio module browns out and drops the network connection. Recharge the pack — if the dropouts continue on a full charge, check the battery contacts for debris and confirm the cell is reading above 3.6V at rest before the next shift.

Frequently Asked Questions
The DT-X7 scanner stopped reading barcodes right after I put the new battery in — what's wrong?
The laser or imager module needs minimum voltage to fire correctly, and a new pack shipped in storage state may sit below that threshold. Place the scanner in its cradle and complete a full charge before attempting to scan. We confirmed on the bench that scan-trigger function restored normally once the cell reached above 3.6V. Do not attempt to use the scanner until the cradle charge indicator shows a full charge.
My scanner gets noticeably warm after a few hours on the warehouse floor — is that the battery?
Sustained scan activity combined with constant wireless polling generates heat inside the DT-X7's enclosed housing, and the battery contributes to that thermal load. It is normal for the pack to feel warm to the touch — the concern is if the unit becomes too hot to hold comfortably, which suggests the BMS is working harder than it should. Check that the battery contacts are clean and that the cell is not being kept in a charging cradle while simultaneously in active use for extended periods. If surface temperature stays below 45°C the pack is operating within normal range.
New battery seems to drain faster than the old one did on a full shift — what's causing that?
A new cell sometimes shows lower apparent endurance in the first few cycles because it has not yet reached full electrochemical capacity — Li-ion cells typically reach peak capacity after three to five full charge-discharge cycles. Scan burst frequency and wireless polling interval both affect discharge rate, so a busier shift will drain the pack faster than a lighter one. Run three complete charge and discharge cycles in normal use before comparing shift endurance against the previous battery. If capacity still falls short after five cycles, check the cradle contacts and confirm the cell is reaching a full 4.2V at charge completion.
