Fits Datalogic QuickScan Mobile 2130 and M2130 scanners; replaces OEM part numbers 90ACC1945, 128000791, 128000790, and BT-7.
This 3.7V 750mAh lithium-ion cell delivers the voltage and capacity needed for continuous barcode scanning and wireless data transmission throughout a shift.
Connector slides into the battery slot at the scanner's grip with a positive-contact alignment tab; orientation is fixed and keyed.
We charged this cell in a QuickScan 2130 cradle and confirmed BMS handshake on first insertion with no fault light or cutoff.
Place the scanner in its cradle for one full charge cycle before active scanning — the trigger inrush from the laser is highest when cells sit at minimum state and can trip the BMS cutoff mid-scan on first use.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Datalogic QuickScan Mobile 2130 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (90ACC1945)

This 3.7V 750mAh Li-ion cell replaces the factory battery in the Datalogic QuickScan Mobile 2130, M2130, and QM2130 handheld barcode scanners. It matches the OEM part numbers 90ACC1945, 128000791, 128000790, and BT-7. The pack slots into the same battery bay and connects to the same BMS contacts as the original.

  • QM2130 platform fit: The M2130, QM2130, and QuickScan Mobile variants share a common battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One pack covers all of them — no adapter or firmware change needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through scan-burst cycles on a QM2130 unit. The BMS held voltage above the 3.0V cutoff floor through sustained trigger pulls and active wireless polling without tripping into protective shutdown.
  • First shift prep for pick-and-pack use: After installing, seat the scanner in its charging cradle and run a full charge cycle before the first shift. Scan trigger inrush current spikes hardest when the cell is near its minimum charge level — a fully charged pack prevents false BMS trips during the first high-frequency scanning session.

Cradle showing charging error on a new pack

A charging error on the dock with a fresh pack almost always comes down to contact resistance at the battery terminals. Dock contacts and pack contacts both accumulate oxidation and debris from warehouse handling. Wipe the gold contacts on the pack and the cradle pins with a dry cloth before reseating. Once contact resistance drops, the dock handshake completes and charging begins normally at 4.2V target.

Scanner dropping wireless connection during rapid scan bursts

The QM2130 draws simultaneously from the radio module and the scan trigger during rapid burst scanning — two inrush events layered on top of each other. If the cell voltage sags below the radio module's minimum operating threshold mid-burst, the wireless stack drops the connection before the BMS trips. This is most common when the battery is below 30% charge. Keep the pack above half charge during high-frequency scanning shifts to keep the combined draw within the cell's output headroom.

Frequently Asked Questions

My QM2130 stopped reading barcodes right after I put the new battery in — what's wrong?

The imager or laser in the QM2130 needs the cell to be above a minimum voltage threshold before it fires reliably. A freshly installed pack that shipped partially discharged can sit just below that threshold even though the scanner powers on. Place the scanner in its cradle and charge it fully before triggering any scans — once the cell reaches 4.2V the imager will fire at full power.

The scanner feels noticeably warm after a few hours of continuous scanning — is that normal?

Sustained scan trigger use combined with active wireless polling generates heat inside the QM2130's compact housing, and that heat transfers to the battery pack. Some warmth is expected. If the pack becomes hot to the touch, the BMS is likely throttling current to protect the cell — seat the scanner in the cradle for 10–15 minutes to let the pack cool and the BMS reset before continuing.

This replacement battery seems to run out faster than our old one did — what causes that?

Scan burst frequency and wireless polling interval both draw from the same 750mAh cell simultaneously. If your operation increased scan volume or the scanner is polling a base station more aggressively than before, the draw profile is heavier than the old battery faced in its early life. Check the wireless polling interval in the scanner's configuration utility and reduce it if it's set below 500ms — that alone cuts standby draw meaningfully and extends each charge cycle.
